Great product
From PennsylvaniaComments about Adequan CanineI took my 11 yr old rescue dog to the emergency hospital because he could not get up at all. With the help of a new vet who is giving him laser and acupuncture therapy, plus the Adequan, he is much better all walking more every day. Adequan doesn't have any of the side effects that rimadyl, deramaxx...have and it actually treats the arthritis. After A month of twice a week shots I give it to him now once a week and may cut back to every two weeks or once a month. Happy their have been no side effects and I can order it online with my vet's approval. -
Great Product
From FloridaComments about Adequan CanineUse this product for my dog about every 3 weeks, made life easier for him -
Great medicine!
From Marietta, GA, USAComments about Adequan CanineWe've been using this for our 7-year old Great Pyrenees, adopted by us about 6 years ago. He had apparently been "turned out" by his owner in the North Georgia Mountains, where he was probably supposed to be a working dog. However, he has severe patellar lunation in both knees and has a great deal of difficulty getting up, going up stairs, etc. Adequan was recommended to us by an Auburn University vet, and the improvement has been dramatic. He still has very weak knees and musculature in his back legs, but his ease of movement has greatly improved. This is a great medicine for any dog with joint issues. -
Excellent picture
From Gainesville, FL, USAComments about Adequan CanineOur 13yo. dog Misty has been on Adequan for over a year now. It has greatly helped with her mobility. She has an ankle that has broken down (she wears a brace) and she has arthritis in her hips. Very good product. -
Adequan is the best!
From New Hampshire, USAComments about Adequan CanineMy 6 yo English Mastiff has been on this for a couple years for his hips. It makes a world of difference for him. When it went off the market for a while he slowly went back to being very sore and lame in his hind end. Thank god it's back and our boy is feeling ever so much better!!! -
Miraculous!
From New Jersey, USAComments about Adequan CanineI thought my GSD's hiking days were over 1.5 years ago when she started limping and x-rays found severe arthritis in her knee and spine. We started Adequan along with supplements and monthly chiropractor visits. She went back to hiking and can still hike 6-8 miles at a time, only taking Deramaxx on hiking days. She will be turning 14 in a couple of months.-

So far, so good
From New Mexico, USAComments about Adequan CanineI researched arthritis solutions for my 8 year old German Shepherd and found rave reviews about Adequan. So, after asking my vet for it, Jakie got his first injection. Wow, what a difference it made. He could get up--which he could not before. The initial treatment is twice a week for 4 weeks, then probably once a month. The other injections have not been as dramatic, but after 6 injections, he is still improving and seems to be happier and better able to walk. We still need to use the ramp for him to get into the car. Jakie has two more injections to go and we remain hopeful that the treatment will continue to work. By the way, he is still on a pain medication also, but that alone did not give the results that Adequan has. Anyone who has a dog with similar symptoms suffers with the canine, so medications which work are a boon not only to our beloved family member but also to us. Reviews note that Adquan doesn't work in 100 % of the cases but a majority of dogs do benefit. I understand that it is used on horses also. -
Adequan
From Seattle, WA, USAComments about Adequan CanineAdequan works! My dog now takes this injection monthly to maintain the mobility and comfort that he has gained from using this med. I have no trouble giving the IM injection...he doesn't even seem to mind getting it. This has definitely improved my dogs quality of life! He is 11 and still swims in the lake every day without limping afterwards. He was in so much pain before. It's rather expensive, but it is well worth it! -
Great stuff!
From UndisclosedComments about Adequan CanineMy older dog has arthritis and was suffering injury from the anti-inflammatory drugs. We started Adequan and she is now a new dog with great injury and excellent activity for a 15-year-old

Q & A

How many doses in each vial fora 85 lb dog, and how often is this typically given??
-
Dosing intervals, shelf life after puncture, and the maximum number of punctures allowed by the manufacturer all play a role in the number of doses per vial. A veterinarian will determine dosing based on the dog's individual needs, which will have a significant impact on the number of doses per vial. The FDA-approved dosing schedule isn't always optimum for some dogs, and off-label uses are often included. Speak to your veterinarian to determine the dosing schedule specific for your pet. With that information the number of doses per vial can be determined.
