Excellent product!
From Bellmawr, NJ, USAComments about Advantage II for DogsI have treated my dogs and cats every month with Advantage II every month for years now. Best Product On The Market Without A Prescription!
From Port Orange, FL, USAComments about Advantage II for DogsI'd tried it all...Frontline, flea shampoos and sprays, boraxed my carpets, flea bombed my house, I could not get rid of the fleas and my poor fur baby is allergic to them. My last trip to the vet for a prescription was $300 which I couldn't do at the moment. I had heard good things about Advantage II and with good reason. One application and in 12 hours, no more fleas. It has been two weeks flea free and his dermatitis from the flea irritation is subsiding. He is almost back to his healthy self. I live in Florida and the fleas are terrible here due to the mild winters. You can be assured when purchasing this product! And with VetRXDirect, you get a price VERY worth the product -

Q & A
-
Does it kill ear mites??
-
Advantage II is labeled only to kill and prevent infestations of chewing lice, fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae. It is not effective to kill ear mites.

Does it kill all lice for example poultry lice??
-
Lice are actually species specific. Lice that are specific to birds could be transmitted to your dog by direct contact, but it is unlikely that they would stick around long enough to cause issues. Advantage II for dogs kills lice that are specific to dogs and upon contacting the manufacturer of Advantage II (Bayer), they would not guarantee that it would kill poultry lice.

I understand that this is for dogs, not cats. However, I have both. My cats like to lie with and groom the dog. Does this have the same ingredient that Advantix contains that would harm the cats if they are exposed to the dog within 24 hours??
-
The chemical found in K9 Advantix that is harmful to cats is the concentrated permethrin (44.00%). If ingested or applied to cats, this is considered a medical emergency and your veterinarian should be contacted immediately. The Advantage Multi product contains 2.5% moxidectin. At this concentration, moxidectin is also harmful to cats. The Advantage II product does warn consumers not to allow cats near treated dogs until 24 hours after treatment. Often times it is not the particular ingredient that makes a treatment toxic to cats, but rather the different concentrations of those ingredients within the product. In general, cats are more sensitive to pesticide-containing medications than dogs. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Advantage is a topical treatment, not a collar and it has no expiration date. Based upon extensive stability studies, we know Advantage remains stable for at least five years from the date of purchase. Thank you, VetRxDirect
