Sammie is 15 yrs old and has come down with chronic sinus...
Sammie is 15 yrs old and has come down with chronic sinus infection so he has to now be on azithromycin for the rest of his life practically every day . He gets stuffed up and sneezes and can not breathe and could not live very much longer unless I keep him on this ....I am grateful to you for having the Rx med and for your great pricing. I could not have done it if this were not so . Thanks!

Epic Brand is Bitter, But Cat Responds Well
Squatch is older with a chronic sinus infection on his right side, most likely due to a bad tooth (he's too old to go under anesthesia for dental, plus dental specialists are at least 5 hours away). He responds wonderfully to azithromycin liquid. It does not give him the runs. Vet rx Direct has sent us at least 3 brands over the past couple of years. I have tasted a drop myself each time, knowing cats can taste bitter flavors too (I'm an old-time ex vet tech). Squatch has taken all but the Epic Pharma brand well. He absolutely hates it. I tasted it; it's horribly bitter! I told Vet rx Direct about Epic, but that's what was sent again last time. I would have given 5 stars but for the Epic.

I bought Collidial Silver afterwards
From undisclosedComments about AzithromycinThey will not help you figure out ratios if you bought this to have more than one bottle or 7 days at a time. "It is made up to be mixed all at once and has fillers in it," is what they told me. Not what bottle says. I figured it out. I also figured out that you should not use any of this junk. Collidial Silver works so much better, so much faster, and is all natural, homeopathic, and cheaper by far. Does not destroy all good gut bacteria like this does either. It is a miracle and I am not exaggerating. -
really works
From undisclosedComments about AzithromycinThis really helps my kitty who has chronic respiratory issues. If she misses one day you can really tell the difference so it clearly works. -
Great price, supportive staff and fast shipping!
From Waynesville, NCComments about AzithromycinMy cat has chronic URI syndrome and will need to be on antibiotics for most of her life. Being able to have options for getting her medications really makes a big difference in her care. We have a total of nine cats and it is important to keep her URI in check so that our other cats are not effected. So having a reliable reasonable company is important! Thanks VetRxDirect -
Yes, we will refill as needed for our foster homes.
From Easley, SCComments about AzithromycinHaving a cat rescue, this is the fastest and quickest to nip an URI in the bud per our vet and his instructions! -

Great Price, Great Instructions
From Mt. Royal, NJComments about AzithromycinI could not be happier now that I've finally received this product. The hold-up was on my vet's end, not vetrxdirect - once they had the approval straightened out, it shipped pretty quickly. If a prescription med were truly urgently needed, then ordering online may not be appropriate, but this was for a kitty who had already been snotty and sneezy for a few weeks. The price for two bottles of medicine (needed for the recommended dosing by the vet as it only lasts for 10 days after mixing) was less than half of what one bottle was going to cost me at a local retail pharmacy, as this medicine is primarily used for children. The instructions that came with it were very clear and a dosing syringe for the mixed medicine was provided. A bottle of distilled water for mixing the medicine was also included, with a syringe that couples up to it, and the syringe was clearly marked with the appropriate distilled water measurement, in addition to that volume being provided in the instructions. I highly recommend ordering from this site if this is the medicine you need! -
Great Price & Service
From Des Moines, IA, USAComments about AzithromycinQuickly faxed my vet for approval & received the meds sooner than expected. The cost is about 1/4 of what I paid at the vet's office. Very pleased & will order again! -
Great! No Hassle
From Baltimore, MD, USAComments about AzithromycinLoved the service. Fast shipping. Will use again and asked my vet to tell other patients about vetrxdirect, since his office doesn't have an on site pharmacy. -

Can I give my 30 pound dog 250 mg of Azithomycin for cough?
-
Azithromycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections. If the cough is related to a bacterial infection such as bronchitis, this medication may be a potential treatment option. However, it is recommended to discuss with your veterinarian as cough may have causes unrelated to bacterial infection. Additionally, your veterinarian will have the appropriate dose and duration of therapy if this medication is appropriate.

Is it okay to separate a bottle of dry powder into 2 equal pill bottles and reconstitute one but leave the other one dry for future use? The vet office says to do it, but are the active ingredients distributed equally??

VetRxDirect sells three different Azithromycin Oral Suspensions, which vary in volume and concentration when mixed with water and prepared for dosing. The choice between the three depends on the dose that your veterinarian has prescribed for your cat or dog. What is the Cherry Flavor composed of in this antibiotic? Is the CHERRY FLAVOR in this medication TOXIC to Cats? I understand this is a Human medicine that can be used for Vet Rx use. Every photo image on the internet appears to have CHERRY FLAVOR on the box. Is this product manufactured as an oral suspension "without" the Cherry Flavor? I have read that components of REAL Cherries are toxic to cats and I am wondering why it would be safe to dose a cat with a medicine full of cherry flavor if cherries are toxic to cats. Thank you.?
-
The cherry flavoring in this medication is 100% artificial and does not contain cherries. The information regarding the composition of the flavoring was received from the manufacturer. Unfortunately we do not carry any other flavors than the cherry at this time. If you have further questions regarding this item, it is recommended that you speak to your veterinarian as they may have some insight.

Since this oral suspension is only good for 10 days after it's reconstituted when mixed with water, and since it then must not be exposed to over 77 degrees F., and since some of those 10 days will be wasted during delivery time, can it be shipped in dry state to me so that I can reconstitute it??
-
Azithromycin suspension is shipped dry, in it's original sealed bottle. Instructions for reconstitution are included.
