It works!
I am finding Bravecto to be 100% effective at killing ticks before they suck blood, even before they attach. I know it's working because I'm brushing dead (flat) ticks out of my dogs' fur. When I used Frontline and Advantix I was constantly picking engorged ticks from my dogs. Maybe the ticks would have died EVENTUALLY, but they were having quite a ride in the meantime, and dogs were getting itchy, unpleasant wounds.
They downside of Bravecto: Theoretically, if your dog has a bad reaction to it, you can't wash it off, like you could with the topical formulas. I have 3 dogs and none of them had any reaction at all, so I haven't faced that problem. We live in an area with lots of ticks and a very high incidence of Lyme disease, so I am willing to take the risk. So far so good!

Why can't chewable meds be appetizing to dogs?
I have yet to run into a dog med that my dog Crixus will eat without being forced.
I chopped it up and he still found a way of eating around a couple pieces and I had to force him to swallow the rest.
But all that said, it is a great substitute for the oily mess that topical flee and tick prevention bring. Especially for my pit bull, who is allergic to most topicals.
Let's work on flavor!!

This stuff works great, but expensive

It worked wonderfully for both of them -- neither one had fleas after going on it. Before Bravecto my 65 pound black mouth cur (picture) had fits with his fleas. It was hard to watch. I tried both natural and medical cures without more than 60% success and eventually had to put a T-shirt on him to keep him from scratching himself and getting infected. My new dog, a German shepherd border collie mix, has been on it since day one (I rescued him at age 2 1/2). I've never found a flea on him or in the house. Minus one star for being insanely expensive. Can't wait till it's generic! But for now it is worth it to prevent the pain and suffering.-

Fluralener, the active ingredient in Bravecto, is indicated for the treatment and prevention of fleas and ticks. It does not protect against heartworms. Simparica Trio has three active ingredients including sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel. Moxidectin is used for the prevention of heartworm disease. Your answer about possible non-uniform mixing of the medication is truly a load of BS. If they mixed each chew separately it might be possible. But since they mix it in huge batches and press thousands of chews from it then that would be virtually impossible. IF YOU BUY INTO THEIR EXPLANATION, ..then why would you be confident that the chew you are about to give your dog has ANY effective ingredient in it at all?
