Misleading labeling
Beware. This is NOT the trademarked prescription medication "Rejuvenate." This company uses the name, improperly, in its listing. But the item you receive is a herbal concoction with the label "RJ+", and the ingredients are nothing like the ingredients in veterinary prescription "Rejuvenate."

Small breed size capsule too big
From Riverside, CaComments about Canine ActivWife believes this product helps our 13 Lb Pomeranians however after struggling for many months to get them to eat them, she has given up. These capsules are just too large for small breeds. Recommendation only for larger breeds. -

Works
From Belton, MissouriComments about Canine ActivMy Yorkie mix (Dorkie) Joe was 16 when he stopped wanting to walk up and down the stairs. I started using Rejuvenate daily.... He's 20 now and walks up and down the stairs without even glancing at me like he might want help.... Granted, he takes it one careful step at a time. I always remind him how handsome and strong he is. :) The product is like a miracle. -
I will continue to purchase Rejuvenate Plus.

Q & A

i have a 13 year old schnauzer who is 20 pounds she is having issues with her knee and the vet recommended this product. im not sure what one to get her the regular or for small breeds or the high performance she doesnt even want to put pressure on it?
-
It depends, the small dog capsules are about half the size of the regular dog capsules but you would have to give more of the small dog capsules. The high performance is relatively new to us. We haven't been selling this product very long but it looks like this has an extra ingredient, Alpha-Gee, which is an anti-inflammatory. You may want to talk to your veterinarian to see which one he would recommend. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is it harmful to give any dog weighing about 16 pounds a capsule of the regular Rejuvinate plus? It makes more sense to give just one capsule instead of 2 and then spread the dosing out.?
-
We recommend following the dosage chart provided by the manufacturer of Rejuvenate Plus on the VetRxDirect website. However, your veterinarian may be comfortable dosing this medication outside of the manufacturer’s recommendations based on your pet’s needs. Please consult your veterinarian regarding the use of this medication for your pet.

What is the difference between the regular Rejuvinate and the "high performance"??

The Rejuvenate RP High Performance contains Alpha-GEE in addition to Creatine. You can find the amounts under the 'More Info' tab above.

Should the dosage be given all at one time or break it up to two dosages a day??

The manufacturer's label suggests giving Rejuvenate Plus capsule(s) once a day following the dosage chart printed on the label. The dosage charts can also be found under the 'More Info' tab on this product page. Thank you.

My dog is currently on Rimadyl for severe arthritis. Can Rejuvenate Plus be given along with Rimadyl? Any GI or renal issues??
-
Rejuvenate Plus is a creatine supplement used in dogs to improve mobility by restoring natural creatine levels. Because it is a supplement, there have been no studies on whether or not it interacts with Rimadyl. There is a small possibility that Rimadyl can cause kidney damage, and the creatine in Rejuvenate Plus is taken out of the body through the kidney, so there is a chance that giving Rejuvenate Plus along with Rimadyl could cause a renal issue. There is no evidence to suggest that creatine supplements, when given in normal doses, cause GI issues. We suggest you contact your veterinarian before trying this supplement for your dog when your dog is taking Rimadyl. Thank you, VetRxDirect

How long will it take for me to see a change in my dog??
-
Joy, Rejuvenate Plus is a supplement used to help promote motility in your pet with the focus on muscles and joints. The manufacturer reports that improvement may be seen in your pet after a few days of taking the product. This improvement will depend on the severity of the injury as well as what you’re treating. We always advise that you have your pet evaluated by your veterinarian prior to starting any supplement. Thank you, VetRxDirect

I am presently giving my dog Rejuvenate by Hannah Pharmaceutics and am wondering if your Rejuvenate brand is the same.?
-
The Rejuvenate Plus that we carry is manufactured by a company of the same name, Rejuvenate Plus. The active ingredient in Rejuvenate Plus is creatine ethyl ester HCl, 400mg in the regular capsule and 150mg in the small breeds capsule. The inactive ingredient is silicon dioxide. We do not carry the product called Rejuvenate, which appears to be a glucosamine supplement. Thank you, VetRxDirect

i give my dog glucosamine for her hip joints and a friend told me to get some rejuvenate-which i did but i'm a little confused. should i give her the rejuvenate instead of glucosamine or in addition to glucosamine? ?
-
Jackie, Both glucosamine and creatine ethyl ester (Rejuvenate Plus) are used to help reduce stiffness and increase mobility in dogs. The manufacturer states that the beneficial effects of Rejuvenate Plus will start to be noticed in just a few days verses glucosamine supplements which may take weeks or months to notice improvement. Rejuvenate Plus has not been shown to have side effects during the last 5 years in which the product has been sold and in the previous 5 years of development. Consult your veterinarian as to whether Rejuvenate Plus should be added to your current glucosamine therapy. Thank you, VetRxDirect
