-
According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook carprovet is a well tolerated medication, but in some rare cases dogs can develop liver problems. My vet prescribes Rovera. Is that the same thing? I can't find any coupons or savings under that name. I know it's an NSAID, but why is it so hard to find anywhere else but my vet's office, where 45 pills (100 mg chewables) are $88.?
-
Both Rovera and Carprovet contain the same active ingredient, carprofen. Rovera is a brand name prescription chewable tablet that is manufactured by Pfizer. Carprovet, is also a brand name chewable tablet manufactured by Dechra. Please consult with your veterinarian with any further questions or concerns regarding this medication and your dog.

Are there any manufactures that have gluten in their inactive ingredients? It seems to be difficult to find a listing of inactive ingredients. Thanks?
-
Is this manufacturer in the US? Do you know if your manufacturer is using ingredients that are sourced from the US? And do they have a ongoing quality assurance program as part of their manufacturing process to identify ingredients that are tainted with contaminants prior to production? Thanks.?
-
Upon calling the company, they stated the Carprofen Chewable tablets manufactured for Putney, are made in California. They stated to their knowledge all the ingredients are sourced from the United States. They also are FDA approved and have to complete continuing Quality Assurance Analysis for contaminants in all of their Carprofen in order to keep this FDA approval.

My vet's admin asst is telling me I need to have a form from VetRxDirect in order for them to issue a Rx. They are also asking me to sign a waiver, obviously they want to make this as difficult as possible. Do you have such a form??
-
Our most common way for prescription approval is for you to submit an order at VetRxDirect.com, which will prompt us to fax an authorization form to your pet's veterinary clinic. A few clinics do require waivers and/or written prescriptions only. Thank you.
