What a difference!
From Elgin, IL, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) Chewable TabletsKaiser is my 11y/o German Shepherd. He used to run like a race horse and was such a show off. For the past several years he has slowed down considerably, plagued with severe arthritis. We tried a few other meds but as soon as I started him on the Carprofen, I noticed a huge difference in his ability to walk up and down the stairs and be comfortable. It has really worked for him. -

Live saver ... really
From McHenry, IL, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) Chewable TabletsI saw Roxy as a puppy playing with a tennis ball alone in a shelter. So happy and playful I knew she needed a change of scene so I adopted her. As the years went by she began slowing down and old age set in like it does for so many of us. She stopped wanting to play and had a very hard time even getting up. So to the doctor we went, yup arthritis in the hips it is. She got an rx for rymadyl a great but expensive treatment. She was improving dramatically but due to cost I had to cut dosage in half and even the days she received it. Due to recently loosing my job of 16 years we were sunk, my poor pal in pain and not wanting to play but just sleep. Then luckily for us vetrxdirect popped up on the web and Had a generic version of her meds so cheap I could not only afford them but she could get the full dosage every day!!!! Thanks to them she's back to playing and chasing squirrels! We thank you so much in this especially tight time for us and for the surprise cookie in the box too! Happy 12th birthday Roxy, glad your enjoying life again!-

Good Price
From Seven Points, TexasComments about Carprovet (carprofen) Chewable TabletsI had to resort to purchasing both non chewable and the generic. I normally buy what I trust but with prices on everything the way that they are, and I still have 8 dogs of my own plus one foster from rescue, I have to get them what they need first and then what they want. They take these willingly and chew them up. And, I know that they work as well as Rimadyl due to the fact in two to three weeks time the ones who could hardly walk on their back legs were trying to run! I say thank God for generics and lower prices by Vet approved.

I am told that this an cause serious liver problems,i s this true??
-
According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook carprovet is a well tolerated medication, but in some rare cases dogs can develop liver problems. Routine lab work will help monitor for liver problems while taking this medication. If you notice any bowel changes like blood in stool or behavior changes like unusual sedation please contact your veterinarian.

My vet prescribes Rovera. Is that the same thing? I can't find any coupons or savings under that name. I know it's an NSAID, but why is it so hard to find anywhere else but my vet's office, where 45 pills (100 mg chewables) are $88.?
-
Both Rovera and Carprovet contain the same active ingredient, carprofen. Rovera is a brand name prescription chewable tablet that is manufactured by Pfizer. Carprovet, is also a brand name chewable tablet manufactured by Dechra. Please consult with your veterinarian with any further questions or concerns regarding this medication and your dog.

Are there any manufactures that have gluten in their inactive ingredients? It seems to be difficult to find a listing of inactive ingredients. Thanks?
-
Is this manufacturer in the US? Do you know if your manufacturer is using ingredients that are sourced from the US? And do they have a ongoing quality assurance program as part of their manufacturing process to identify ingredients that are tainted with contaminants prior to production? Thanks.?
-
Upon calling the company, they stated the Carprofen Chewable tablets manufactured for Putney, are made in California. They stated to their knowledge all the ingredients are sourced from the United States. They also are FDA approved and have to complete continuing Quality Assurance Analysis for contaminants in all of their Carprofen in order to keep this FDA approval.

My vet's admin asst is telling me I need to have a form from VetRxDirect in order for them to issue a Rx. They are also asking me to sign a waiver, obviously they want to make this as difficult as possible. Do you have such a form??
-
Our most common way for prescription approval is for you to submit an order at VetRxDirect.com, which will prompt us to fax an authorization form to your pet's veterinary clinic. A few clinics do require waivers and/or written prescriptions only. Thank you.
