Works good
From Wyoming, USAComments about C.E.T. AquaDentWe bought this first from our vet and it is working really well. You can actually see the brown stuff on there teeth going away! Right now I see very little after 3 to 4 or so Months. So hopefully we won't have to worry about rotten teeth! -
Good Meds, Good Price, Good Service
From Raleigh, NC, USAComments about C.E.T. AquaDentVetRX website was easy to navigate, buy, and ship. Free shipping is an advantage. However, getting exactly what you order is the deciding factor...even for pet meds. We have been using Virbac CET AquaDent for years on Vet recommendation. It actually "works" to reduce plaque and tarter build up to reduce tooth decay (a fairly expensive alternative to proper care). Good stuff, good source. Thank you, Bill B. -
Great product for the price
From Allentown, PA, USAComments about C.E.T. AquaDentMy doctor recommended this for my dogs water. Since they both need dentals, I haven't seen the benefit but their breath smells better! -
Waiting to see how well it works!
From Wichita, KS, USAComments about C.E.T. AquaDentI started adding this to all the water bowls in my home just a little over one bottle ago, about two months. It only takes one teaspoon per pint so it lasts a long time. The dose is the same for all pets, so it doesn't matter if the cats drink the dog's water, which is great. None of them seem to notice it or mind it if they do. The price on this site is WAY cheaper than this was at my vet! I am hoping it will help maintain the dental work I'm having done on several of my pets, but it's a bit too soon to tell. One important note is that I was not going to buy this at first as I noticed that it contains xylitol. My family brushes with xylitol toothpaste and hasn't had a cavity in years, but I had learned it can be toxic for pets. I looked into it and the amount they would have to take in would have to be a great deal more than this tiny amount diluted in water, so if that's what's holding you back, check it out for yourself with your pet's dental caregiver. The only thing I don't like is the design of the cap! It drips and wastes product. I transferred mine to a little bottle with a pull-up cap like a sports water bottle, which dispenses much better for me.-

Should this have some type of seal under the screw top or plastic wrapping over the screw top? Mine arrived today, and I was surprised there was no type of seal other than the screw top cap.?
-
According to the manufacturer, C.E.T, AquaDent does not come with a safety seal. The manufacturer stated the cap on the product tightens to keep the liquid contained, but it does not come with a safety seal that you remove when taking off the lid for the first time.

I have a 15 year old shih tzu mix. She has chronic renal failure. Is this product safe for her??
-
C.E.T. AquaDent is a water additive that helps maintain healthy, fresh breath and supports healthy teeth and gums by controlling plaque in dogs. C.E.T. AquaDent contains three active ingredients: erythritol (an artificial sweetener), inulin (a prebiotic), and pomegranate extract (a natural antioxidant). Each of these ingredients have been shown to be safe in dogs, but there is little evidence on their effect in chronic renal failure. It is recommended that you speak with your veterinarian, who is the best source of information regarding your dog's medical condition, to determine if this product is appropriate for your dog.

I have two chihuahua mixes that share one water bowl (2 cup capacity). They usually drink 1 1/2 bowls per day combined. Can I add this product to EVERY bowl or should it only be one per day??
-
Per the manufacturer, they recommend starting with one bowl with the AquaDent at first. If improvement is slow or not noted, it is recommended to use 1-2 teaspoons mixed with 2 cups of fresh water to each bowl daily. Any leftover water at the end of the day should be discarded

Why is it so hard to get this product? Even my vet can no longer get it. Ihave always found it to be a good product but I am now skeptical. Was it pulled off market because of dangerous chemicals??
-
Unfortunately, the manufacturer is not producing products at this time so that is why we are unable to get it in stock right now. As soon as they are up and running again, we should be able to get it back, we just are not sure of when that will be. Thank you, VetRxDirect

The aqua Dent contains xylitol, which is something dogs should avoid. Do you have a product without xylitol and dye in it??
-
I looked into this and was told this would never get a seal of approval if it was a dangerous level of xylitol. The amount the pet gets is very tiny and would have to be a lot more to do any harm. I have not seen any side effects from this with my pets (such as diarrhea) in the two months or so they have been on it.
Community Answer -
Ingredient information for the products that we carry is available on each product's page, there are products available that do not contain xylitol and dye. As products can vary in their purpose and we can't make recommendations, you should contact your dog's veterinarian for assistance in finding the right oral health care regimen for your pet. Does AquaDent come in a larger size other than what is shown. I have 13 cats and would need a large amount. Also can it be premixed (i.e. in gallon container) and refrigerated and would a Drinkwell's filter breakdown the effectiveness? Thank You.?
-
Darleen, C.E.T. AquaDent is not available in a larger size than the 500mL bottle that we offer. It is recommended to store at room temperature and discard any treated water that is not used within 24 hours. I recommend not filtering the medication due to a potential decrease in effectiveness. Thank you, VetRxDirect
