A Big hit with our dog
From Charleston, SC, USAComments about C.E.T. Enzymatic Oral Hygiene ChewsThe high point of our border collie's day is "chewy" time. Cartwheels into the kitchen with sheer joy in her eyes. She has been getting one a day for 4 years and honestly haven't the heart to ever consider stopping giving her one a day. Her teeth are nice and I don't know if this is the reason, but certainly can't be hurting.-

Best chews on the market!
From Camden, SC, USAComments about C.E.T. Enzymatic Oral Hygiene ChewsThese chews are recommended by our local vets, and our dogs love them! One of our dogs loves chews so much that we worried that regular rawhides weren't good for him, because he swallowed " pieces". CET chews dissolve and shouldn't hurt his system. Helps their breath too!! -

Great alternative to bones
From Los Angeles, CAComments about C.E.T. Enzymatic Oral Hygiene ChewsWe used to give my lab whole beef bones to clean his teeth and freshen his breath. Then he went and split a tooth on his beef bone. After the surgery the vet recommended the chews. They are wonderful! Less mess to clean up than real bones and he probably get more excited about these than the old bone.

Our dog is allergic to poultry. The CET Chews contain "poultry digest." is there a chew without poultry as an ingredient.?
-
VetRxDirect supplies similar products that are used to clean teeth and freshen breath that do not contain poultry products on their ingredient list. This includes C.E.T. Veggiedent FR3SH Tartar Control Chews, Tartar Shield Soft Rawhide Chews, and Dentees Chews/Stars. Please contact your veterinarian for specific product recommendations for your dog to use.

I've been using these chews for many, many years and one bag usually lasts about a month. Since I give one chew a day to my dog. The last six months I've been going through these bags like crazy - so I counted the chews. In a medium bag there were only 17 chews - there are supposed to be approximately 30 chews. This is no way near the promised amount. I notice the chews are too thick lately. Is this a problem you've been having recently and can you go back to the original size??
-
The CET Enzymatic Chews are bagged by weight, so the number of chews may vary slightly based on the weight of each chew. The manufacturer estimates each bag may contain approximately 30 chews, but the exact number may vary between each bag. Because we do not manufacture the chews, we are unable to control the size or thickness. If you would like additional information, you may consider contacting the manufacturer, Virbac, at 800-338-3659.

Can my 8 week old puppy have C E T enzymatic chews? ?
-
According to the manufacturer there is no age requirement for using this product. This product has multiple sizes available and the dosing is based on the dog’s weight. This product does require that the puppy is able to adequately chew it; instead of just swallowing the chew whole. Contact your dog’s veterinarian to determine if this oral hygiene chew is appropriate for your pet. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Your description of the product says there are 30 chews in the bag, however the bag in the picture indicates 15. Which is correct??
-
Lugor, It looks like that is an old picture. This particular product has gone through a few different iterations, and is currently offered in a 30-count bag. We're working on getting the product photos updated. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between the enzymatic and the Hextra chews for dogs?Thank you.?
-
Bonnie, There are some ingredient differences, the CET Enzymatic chews contain: Beefhide, dextrose, poultry digest, hydrolysed vegetable protein, primary dried yeast, potassium sorbate, glucose oxidase (Aspergillus niger), dried whey protein concentrate And the CET HEXtra chews contain: Beefhide, maltodextrin, hydrolyzed poultry liver (enzymatic), tetrasodium pyrophosphate, salt, lecithin, sodium gluconate, potassium sorbate, gluconodeltalactone, mineral oil, mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract But the primary difference in the chews is the presence of chlorhexidine in the HEXtra chews, intended to remove plaque and reduce tartar. The Enzymatic chews have enzymes with a natural antiseptic that works with the dog's chewing to reduce plaque and loosen tartar build-up. Thank you, VetRxDirect
