Will this shampoo work to kill adult fleas and eggs on a kitten that is only 6 weeks of age? She is too young for other treatments. We are fostering a female who had a couple fleas, and definitely eggs on her. The vet gave us this particular shampoo.?
-
DermaBesneSs does not carry the specific indication for flea treatment from the manufacturer, however, many veterinarians will choose to use products off label or as an adjunct to therapy. DermaBesneSs contains the following ingredients: benzoyl peroxide, sodium thiosulfate, salicylic acid, ceramides. These medications are typically used to kill microorganisms such as bacteria and fungus and treat conditions of the skin and hair follicles. The sodium thiosulfate (sulfur) component does have an antiparasitic effect. It would be important to follow the directions as recommended by the pet’s veterinarian and follow up with the veterinarian in order to determine if the problem has resolved. Thank you, VetRxDirect
