Works great, BUT...
From Lafayette, INComments about Epi-Otic Advanced Ear CleanserIf you have a dog with large, easily infected ears (I have a GSD), you have to use a lot of it. However, it's an excellent product. I'd give it a 4.5 instead of a 5 because of the price. -

Q & A

You're out of stock. When will it be available? Otherwise, what's the difference between this Advanced formula and the standard formulation you have available on the site??
-
Epi-Otic and Epi-Otic Advanced are both ear cleansers for dogs and cats. The main difference between the two products is the percentage of the active ingredient, salicylic acid. Salicylic acid in these ear cleansers is used to help loosen and remove dead or thickened skin which is a common carrier for certain microbes such as bacteria. The regular formula of Epi-Otic contains 0.1% salicylic acid and 2.7% lactic acid labeled for use in dogs and cats of any age. The Epi-Otic Advanced contains 0.2% salicylic acid and indicated for chronic ear infections and routine cleansing of sensitive e. Please contact your veterinarian to determine if these products are appropriate forars your pet’s ears. Thank you, VetRxDirect

When do you expect the Epiotic Advanced to be back in stock? Waiting on placing my order for my other items until it is b/c I dont want to have to pay shipping just for that item when it does become available.?
-
Unfortunately, we do not have a date of when it will be available again. When products go on a manufacturer back order, we have no way of knowing when we will be able to get it in stock again. As soon as we do though, we will update the website. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the shelf life of epi-otic??
-
Minky, Expiration dates vary from size to size, but most of the Epi-Otic that we have on the shelf right now has an expiration date in 2015. If expiration dates are a concern for you, you are welcome to email in advance of placing your order to request the most up-to-date expiration information for the size you need. Thank you VetRxDirect

My dog is a labradoodle and has hair in her ears, not fluffy like a poodles but longer like a Labrador retriever. Some people say to pull it out, others say not to because it causes pain and irritation. What should I do??
-
Adjusting the hair in the ear(s) is not required for the product to be effective. It is not necessary to move the hair as long as the cleanser is able to have contact with the affected part of the ear. Use your best judgement when deciding whether or not to adjust the hair, or consult your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect
