She's 12 yrs old so she's not a puppy. Does this spray have possible side effects? She is also on Apoquel to help control the itching.?

Funny, my dog needs a prescription yet I do not. I can buy the Nasacort (Triamcinolone Acetonide) in any pharmacy over the counter. So FDA cares more about my dog than me??

Your Genesis topical spray 16 oz has been out of stock for many weeks. Should I get it from one of your competitors??
-
This manufacturer is currently not producing products so we are unable to get any in stock. If you can find it somewhere that has it in stock, I would suggest purchasing from them seeing as we have no date of when we will be able to get it again. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Why is this a prescription drug? I read that it is approved as an over the counter drug now, as it's basically a poison ivy treatment, when hydracortisone fails. That's how I ended up with a tube of it. No one is ingesting this stuff to get high on it.?

Kamm, Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid with multiple indications of use. Triamcinolone is similar to hydrocortisone but is stronger. For this reason the FDA has advised that this product should only be available by prescription so veterinarians or other health care providers can monitor care. The only available over-the-counter topical corticosteroid is hydrocortisone 0.5% and 1% cream. Thank you, VetRxDirect
