Great price
From UndisclosedComments about Gentamicin Sulfate Eye DropsMy vet was completely willing to provide the prescription to VetRxDirect even though your price was significantly better than his price. Since my 17 year old pup will need this for the rest of his life, I really appreciate that. -
I'll keep buying this eye drops!
From undisclosedComments about Gentamicin Sulfate Eye DropsThis medication is perfect for my little chihuahua that has big issues with his right eye. Thanks! -
This medication works great!
From undisclosedComments about Gentamicin Sulfate Eye DropsMy dog got hit in the eye by another dog's tail and it caused a crater in his eyeball. My dog is diabetic and his healing time is a lot longer than a non-diabetic dog. Once the vet determined his eyeball was not going to heal on its own she performed surgery removing the loose layers of cataracts on his eye. My vet sent me home with this medication to put 4 drops in his eye 3 times a day. The drops seem to soothe his eye and they are definitely helping it heal. If he starts scratching at his eye (I imagine it itches from healing) I put 2 drops of this medication in his eye and the scratching stops, he would just lie there nice and peaceful acting like the drops felt good. I highly recommend this medication with a vet's prescription.-

Works Well
From Tucson, AZ, USAComments about Gentamicin Sulfate Eye DropsWe have 2 persian cats who develop "weepy" eyes as a result of allergies this time of year. These eye drops work well to clear up the problem and reduce sinus drainage. -
Hard to use
From Brooklyn, NY, USAComments about Gentamicin Sulfate Eye DropsThey work pretty good but my only problem was couldn't get my dog to stay still. My dog won't let me put the drops in his eyes I think cream version of it would be much better.

My 2 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel has cheery eye (right eye only) I used Garasone optic drops a year ago and it worked. however I just got back from being away for 3 weeks and it is back, will these drops work that same??
-
Cherry eye is a condition in animals in which the gland of the third eyelid falls down, protruding into the eye and appears red and swollen. The most commonly reported treatment is a veterinarian surgically stitching the gland back in place. Garasone is a combination product of a steroid: betamethasone, and an antibiotic: gentamicin. The steroid is intended to reduce swelling and irritation of the eye, while the antibiotic is intended to kill bacteria causing infection in the eye. These medications are usually useful in conjunctivitis or “pink eye.” It would be important to discuss with your pet’s veterinarian to confirm a diagnosis and chose appropriate treatment. It is also important to remember to never use expired or out-dated medications. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Ivy, Gentamicin and many medications used in veterinary pharmacy are the same medications used in human pharmacy. However, we do not dispense for human use, and can only accept prescriptions from licensed United States veterinarians. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My chameleon has been fiddling with his eye lately. Some mornings i will find him struggling to open it. I've read multiple website suggesting this Gentamicin. Do you guys at VetRX suggest this is a possible solution.?
-
Nick, Gentamicin is an option for certain types of bacterial eye infections. It will require a veterinarian to determine whether the infection is from bacteria and that this medication is able to treat it. I recommend contacting your pet's veterinarian for his/her expertise in diagnosing the issue your chameleon is experiencing. Thank you, VetRxDirect
