Excellent therapeutic product and fast delivery
From FloridaComments about KetoChlor Medicated ShampooOur German Shepherd has suffered from mold allergy since our recent move to FL. This resulted in stubborn fungal and yeast dermatitis that caused him extreme itchiness and discomfort as well as some hair loss. Ketochlor has been a key component of his specialist veterinarian-directed treatment program. With oral meds and an every 5 day bathing regimen, he has recovered and his skin and coat have returned to normal, but the vet dermatologist/allergist whom our dog sees has told us that it will be necessary to bathe with Ketochlor once a week indefinitely to prevent recurrance. The product is expensive but highly effective. It only works if the directions to leave the lather in for 20 mins are followed. Do not bathe in warm water or use a warm hair dryer and be sure to rinse very thoroughly afterwards. Leaves a nice scent. We have appreciated the prompt delivery time and pleasant service from VetRxDirect. -
KetoChlor Medicated Shampoo was the solution to my
From UndisclosedComments about KetoChlor Medicated ShampooMy dog has allergies and because of his allergies...he had dry skin. My Vet gave me a prescription for this shampoo and it cured it! It has been 4 years and he has never had a problem since. His groomer loves it as it provides a nice lather. Our dog is about 135 lbs with shirted hair (Bloodhound)...he is at the vet every two weeks and the gallon bottle lasts for almost a year. Great product.

Can I still use Frontline plus on my dog if I use this shampoo??
-
Raini, After application of Frontline Plus you can wash your pet or let them swim after 48 hours from application. However, if you are frequently bathing your dog or if your dog swims quite a bit, we would recommend calling your dog’s veterinarian because the overall effectiveness of Frontline Plus may be reduced, and your dog may need more frequent treatments than stated on the drug package insert. If I bathe my dog 2X per week,is K9 Advantage still effective against fleas?
-
Pam, The manufacturer of K9 Advantage II states that the product is waterproof and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming, or after exposure to rain or sunlight. We recommend waiting at least one hour after application of the medication before exposure to water. Thank you, VetRxDirect
