From UndisclosedComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mL ClindaMed, 20mL Dropper VialThe Vet prescribed ClindaMed Clindamycin 25 mg. Liquid for my dog after he had extensive dental work done. Wonderful Product and Service
From Santa Monica, CaliforniaComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mLThis product is incredibly easy to use and very effective. My cat responds fast to treatment and is pain-free after 2 days and remains pain-free for months after a one-month treatment. I have recently been mixing it in with his wet food with warm water and he eats every bite so medicating him is very easy. #sweepstakes -
Overall a Great Product and Excellent Service
From undisclosedComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mLThis product is very easy to use. My cat really responds well to the treatment this antibiotic provides as he has a recurring tooth infection and will need antibiotics for the rest of his life. Typically I used to wrap him up in a blanket to avoid near fatal clawing, then I'd quickly squirt 1 mL into his mouth. However recently I've been mixing it into his wet food with warm water and he eats every bite so no more anxiety from him while being medicated! He seems to be pain-free after just 2 days of treatment and after a month he's free of pain and can eat dry food again for 3 months or more. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a "special needs" animal. And as a bonus, VetRxDirect provides this product for less than half the price at the vet's office, the package always arrives fast and there has never been a breakage or any other issue. I will always buy this brand from this site. -

For Zydaclin, do you need to feed food after administration to prevent esophageal injury??
-
According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook, this medication may be given with food or on an empty stomach. Liquid forms of the medication may be given using a syringe. When administering pills, it is recommended that you always follow “pilling” with a small amount of food or about a teaspoonful of water to make sure the capsules or tablets do not get stuck in the throat on the way to the stomach. Please consult with your veterinarian to determine what would be most appropriate for your pet.

As I was giving the medication to my dog, she tilted the head (cause she hates it, so she tries to escape the procedure), and some of it went in her eye. I just wanted to know if it's safe or not. I did my best to wash her eye right away, but I was wondering if it can cause any irritations. Thank you.?
-
Since this medication was not manufactured to be administered to the eye, there is the possibility of irritation. Contact your dog's veterinarian if you have further questions or concerns.

If the prescribed dose is 1.5 ml every 12 hours for my 10 lb cat, is that 1 and a half droppers? The dropper seems to be 1 ml so 1.5 would be 1.5 droppers.?
-
Yes. Draw the medication up to the 1ml mark and then to the 0.5ml mark to get the total 1.5ml needed.
