How do you use Maropitant Citrate?

  • When using to prevent motion sickness: 3 hours before traveling, feed your animal a small meal or snack, then 1 hour later (2 hours before travel), give maropitant.
  • Do not wrap these pills tightly in food snacks, as this may cause the medication not to work.
  • This medication can be given for various lengths of time. Be sure you understand how long the veterinarian wants you to continue giving this medication.
  • Wash hands with soap and water after administering the drug.
