Masticatory Muscle Myositis Help
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubOur pup has been dealing with Masticatory Muscle Myositis. Due to the meds he was on, he lost all his muscles and 15 pounds. Our vet suggested we give the MYOS Vet Strength Muscle formula a try. Within a week of being on the product, his energy and strength began to come back and within two weeks, there was a definite difference in the muscles in his head and jaw returning, as well as the rest of his body. I highly recommend this product. It has done wonders for our pup. -

Great addition to meals
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubWe started giving this to our Old Boy upon the recommendation of his physical therapist. As dogs (and we) age, they lose muscle mass -- which is not great for an arthritic dog who already has some trouble getting around. We added this to his food and while he is not gaining muscle, he has stopped losing it and is maintaining the mass he has. Recommended! -

Highly Recommend
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubI picked this product because my 5 yo boxer was starting to show signs of muscle atrophy in his rear end. I just sprinkle it on his food and he eats it right up. It has made a huge difference in muscle tone for us.-

MYOS VET-BCAA Very Positive Experience!!!
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubI have a 16.5 year old pup who is suffering from declining muscle mass of her hind quarters. My Veterinary Chiropractor has treated several patients that have been helped by MYOS VET-with BCAA and suggested that I ask my veterinarian to prescribe it for my pup. My dog seems to really like the flavor of this supplement ( I'm surprised because she's a very picky eater)! She has been taking MYOS now for only one week and on day 5 I absolutely was "struck over the head" as to how much better she already was behaving! No other factors could be attributed to her improvement!!! She is so much more willing to walk, ascend and descend the stairs and she visibly looks more muscular in the rump! This almost seems to good to be true but I'm just so thrilled with her improvement!!!-

So for up to a 25lb dog, 1 scoop daily is sufficient, 25-49lbs, 2 scoops. Why then does the dose then double instead of continuing along the same recommendation? (50-75lbs, 3 scoops, etc) Is there an actual proven scientific reason for giving the same serving size for dogs 50-100lbs??
-
According to the manufacturer, the dose goes up to 4 scoops per day for dogs weighing over 50 lbs due to weight distribution and scientific analysis for proper dosages with the formula. After 4-6 months some dogs scale back to 2 scoops per day for maintenance. Please consult with your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this supplement.
