Life Saver
My cat takes four pills, twice a day. Before I found this product it took a very long time to get him to open his mouth while simultaneously forcing each pill towards the back of his throat. I was worried that forcing all that on him might damage his trust in me. One day he bit me badly and I knew something had to change. I have been dealing with VetRxDirect for a while and have always had good experiences, so I searched their site and found this amazing tool. I still have to squeeze the corners of his mouth to get him to open, and tilt his head back, but then all I do is put the piller at the back of his throat, hit the plunger, and it's done. Every vet's office should carry these to help people pill their pets.

Don't even try it, save yourself the headache
I picked this product because giving my cat medicine that he needs every day is a lot harder than it needs to be, so I said, hey, let me try this out. Not only did it arrive late, but my first time using it (mind you, not a large pill, a regular sized gabapentin dissolvable capsule) and wouldn't you guess it, it gets stuck in the tube. Now money and medicine has been wasted, because that little sucker would not come out no matter what I tried. Same your time, get something else.

A must have for pets requiring regular medication.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipI wanted this particular pill popper because I had borrowed my sister's and it worked so well. My poor cat has to take a pill everyday which becomes more and more difficult as now he sees me coming. I couldn't do it without this. I looked online and saw that this was everyone's favorite even tho there are fancier models. I have been super happy with my purchase! -
I will buy this product again!

A PILLER THAT PROTECTS YOU AND YOUR PET FROM GETTING HARMED
From UndisclosedComments about Pet PilleriTS A GREAT TOOL TO GIVE YOUR PET THEIR MEDS. EASY FAST AND BEST OF ALL IT DOES NOT HURT OR CAUSE ANY DISCOMFORT TO YOU PET, AND SAVES YOUR FINGERS FROM GETTING BIT BY ACCIDENT, BEEN USING THIS FOR A VERY LONG TIME ON MY PET -
Okay for some pills
From UndisclosedComments about Pet PillerSuccess with this depends on the size of the pill. I needed to give a half of a small pill, but the plunger just pushed it over instead of out. -
Super easy to use.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet PillerThis piller is the only way I can get pills into my cat, who no longer eats reliably enough for me to dose her food. I kneel on the floor with my legs on either side of kitty so if she backs up, she backs up into me. Grab her head from above with thumb and forefinger hooked just under her cheekbones, and wait for her to meow. Then in goes the piller. takes a little practice to learn how far to insert it, and you should always follow the pill with a squirt of water from a syringe or small bottle, even if the pill is greased with butter, or eventually you risk injury or irritation to kitty's throat. -
These are the best pillers you can get
From Los Angeles, CAComments about Pet PillerLots of places sell pillers, none as good as these. Bought some a month ago that pill would not come out of (totally ineffective plunger). Returned and bought more of these. Even those the vets sell are not as good. -
Pet Not Liking Medication Instrument
From UndisclosedComments about Pet PillerDifficulty using. -
Pet Piller is GREAT.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet PillerWe had temporary care of a cat that required two small pills daily. We found it almost impossible to administer the medicine. The solution came with the Pet Piller. It is simple to use and effective. Due to the nature of the design, it greatly reduces the possibility of having the cat bite us during the administration. With the Pet Piller, it is possible to place the pill deep into the mouth of the cat, reducing the incidences of "spitting". The low cost is well worth the cost.

Q & A

I have a pill shooter that is fine for round meds but cannot hold the length of even a small capsule. Will this hold one that's about 3/8 inch long??
-
The pet piller is able to properly dispense a size 4 capsule, which is approximately ½” in length. In that case, it can be assumed that a ⅜” capsule should work as well with this product.

Hi. I have a tiny Amlodipine pill that I have to quarter for my cat. They shatter & it's shards I end up with. Would i be able to tuck tiny pill pieces into this??
-
It is nearly impossible to get an accurate dose when tablets are quartered. You may use the pet piller to administer this medication. Please consult with your cat's veterinarian about the various options you have to get your cat his/her prescribed dose.
Verified Answer -
Buy #3 gel caps and put the shards into the capsule. The #3 size capsules fit well into the pillers and are not too big for a cat.

Do these still have the red tip? I liked those, but now most places carry one with a more rigid blue tip. Also, the blue tip plunger is not smooth when pushed.?

The pet piller products that we provide come from multiple vendors. We cannot guarantee what color will be provided when an order is placed.

The length is probably the length of a pencil and the tip is dark red. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Can the pet piller hols a large pill the size of a nickle??
-
Caprice, The pet piller we care is intended for use with pills for dogs and cats, which are usually much smaller than a nickle. We don't believe this would be a viable option. Thank you, VetRxDirect
