THIS WORKS!
Our 18 yr old cat has kidney disease and becomes anemic and extra tired without us administering Pet-Tinic everyday. Our cat has been using this product since May/2015 and is starting his 3rd 12oz. bottle.
Please do not give more than the dosage suggests.

Good product for healthy dogs, not for anemia caused by CKD
My Dog has Chronic Kidney disease, which causes anemia. This was the only product I was able find for pets that I felt was appropriate. It did help my dog for a time, I am very grateful! It didn't seem to cause him additional stomach or intestinal upset (which is great for an iron supplement:)). I am only giving 3 stars because for my dog's needs, it simply did not give him enough iron and it does not contain vitamin C (helps the body absorb the iron), and he seemed to have some reactions sometimes. So, I had to find a different source. For a healthy dog, too much iron can be lethal so this is possibly still a great product for healthy dogs (check with your vet :)). Lastly, Iron supplements for dogs have been very difficult for me to find, and when I needed it, this product was there. THANK YOU!

From UndisclosedComments about Pet-TinicMy dog had blood work done which showed she is anemic. Our vet asked us to use Pet-Tinic to help her anemia. After being on the product for several weeks, her blood work is normal. We are very thankful and know that she will need to remain on it. -
Helping My Dog
From UndisclosedComments about Pet-TinicI ordered two bottles, one was broken in shipping. Had no difficulty getting a replacement shipped immediately. I measure out the proper dosage for my dog and place into a dish. My dog laps it up with no hesitation. -
Will buy supplement vits again.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet-TinicThis purchase is a refill, and animal hospital vet recommended. Easy to administer, though I usually need to 1st transfer to a smaller bottle, since this larger quantity size doesn't come with a liquid dropper - no fuss. My chis love it as a vit supplement. -

Q & A

What type of iron do you use? Can I get information about its absorption??
-
According to the manufacturer’s product label, Pet-Tinic contains Iron Amino Acid Chelate. In general, iron supplements are absorbed throughout the gastrointestinal tract. They are best given with food, but should be avoided with dairy products as it can hinder iron absorption. Pet-Tinic may be given orally or mixed directly with food. For more specific information about the Iron in Pet-Tinic, you may contact the manufacturer, Zoetis, at 888-963-8471.

My cat with kidney disease and uncontrolled diabetes now has anemia and our Vet prescribed Pettinic I see it contains vitamin B12 and she gives my cat Vitamin B12 shots twice per month which really help him feel better. Is the amount of B12 in Pettinic potentially going to help him feel better more often? The diabetes and weight loss even though he eats like crazy (5 cans of k/d per day!) have made him very low in B12. Thanks?
