- Provecta Advanced is a 5-way parasite treatment for dogs that provides one full month of protection for your dog in a convenient application.
- It kills and repels ticks, all life stages of fleas, and mosquitoes on contact before they bite and cause problems for your dog.

Great product for my two large dogs.
This product is a great find. It has been working well with two very active dogs who enjoy long walks in the woods and occasional dips in the pond. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend to others who are interested in quality as well an affordable solution.

Would NOT buy this product again or recommend it.
In this case I would prefer given NO stars at all. Totally ineffective as far as fleas on my dog. Thirteen days after I put this on my two dogs, we continue to find numerous fleas on them. They are scratching more than ever! Very disheartened about using this product: I've put PESTICIDE on my dogs and now it looks as though they have what could be the start of some kind of dermatitis on top of fleas.

Can I use the 11-20 lbs dose on my dog that weighs 10.3 lbs??

According to the manufacturer, dogs less than 11 lbs should not use the 11-20lb Provecta. Your veterinarian would be most suited to determine if the Provecta Advanced 11-20 pound dosing range would be appropriate for your pet.

The product says it's for dogs over 55lbs…. Is there a weight limit for the xl over 55lb pack? …. Will it be effective for my dogs that are approximately 80lbs? Also, if it repels and prevents mosquitoes from biting, do I need a heartworm preventative as well??

Provecta Advanced XL is labeled for dogs weighing 55 lbs and over. According to the manufacturer, it is not recommended to apply more than 1 tube per treatment for dogs over 55 lbs. Provecta Advanced kills and repels fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. While this product is labeled to repel and kill mosquitoes, it is not labeled to prevent heartworm disease in dogs. For any further questions regarding the use of this product for your dog, please consult with your veterinarian. Your veterinarian can determine the best parasite prevention for your dog based on their needs and your location.
