17 year old with advanced renal disease
From UndisclosedComments about Rebound Recuperation Formula for Cats, 5.1oz (150mL)My senior cat will be 17 & her kidney disease has been advancing more rapidly. I've been trying different products to help with nutrition & hydration. This formula is highly palatable to her & she readily drinks it. Her eyes are much brighter & coat much shinier. Since I started using she's back to grooming herself regularly. I'm so grateful to this product for allowing me to improve her quality of life. -

Rebound should be in your pantry with the dog food, mine is.
From UndisclosedComments about Rebound Recuperation Formula for Dogs, 5.1oz (150mL)This product has saved me thousands of dollars on Vets bills. My rescue Yorkie, Khloe, who weighs 3.8 lbs, gets 5MLs every night before bed...and any time she isn't eating. She has Addison's Disease and her health can go from great to coma quickly. Khloe gets a steroid shot every 23 days and .4mls every night. Rebound has all the nutrients she needs and it's great for all dogs and the Cat Rebound does the same trick too for cats...-

Excellent product - our dog loves it
From FloridaComments about ReboundOur vet gave us this for our 17-year-old dachshund after she went into renal failure and nearly died. She readily scarfed it down when she wouldn't eat anything else. Taste-wise, Rebound is to dogs like a chocolate milkshake is to humans. They love it! It definitely helped her get over the hump and she's 17 years, 7 months now and still going.

I have a 17 year old cat who has been in kidney failure for the last few years. He recently lost 2 lbs which was a lot for him since he only weighs about 10 lbs on a good day. He has always been a finicky eater and when he recently stopped eating and drinking when I took him to the vet he gave me a bottle of Rebound. I have been amazed at how his appetite has increased. I usually give him half of the recommended amount before he eats in the morning and again at night and he loves it! My question is, Is it safe to give this to a cat long term??
-
According to the manufacturer, Rebound Recuperation Formula is not designed to be used long term. It is highly recommended that you speak to your cat's veterinarian about other options that are more appropriate for long term use.

My senior dog (14) was eating Science diet for kidney issues and now has pancreatic issues. I have been using a product called viyo to deliver powdered supplements to help stimulate hunger and hide the taste of the phosphorous bind for her kidneys.THEY DISCONTINUED IT. My vet said I should see if I could get Rebound. I had know Idea it was a verbac product we use the tooth past. My question is there anything in this that either has high protein (not good for kidneys ) or Oil (not good for pancreas ). The Virbac Rebound Recouperation is the same exact product and ingredients as the Viyo, I have used the Viyo for my cats for yrs and it helps so much to give them their Mede disguised as a treat that they beg for, so I freaked out when I couldn't find it anymore and I wrote to the company (Viyo) they told me that it's now being packaged and sold by Virbac but that the Rebound Recouperation is the same exact ingredients just different packaging, they promised and it looks like the same ingredients to me :) I don't know if the cat and dog formulas are different but I don't think the cat formula has the Carrageenan in it, thank a God, I avoid giving that to my cats.
