Great product!
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3This product has been highly recommended to me for my two dogs from two different holistic vets that I have brought them too. They have been on it for over three years and they are both super healthy. -
Very palatable
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3Only my one cat has been diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency, but my God, the other two cats love the stuff as well. In my face! -
Perfected levels
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3Prescribed by our holistic vet for both dogs after vitamin D levels were tested and both were a bit low. After the retest the levels are where they should be so we will continue to buy this again and again! -
Good price - fast delivery - good product
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3great Vet recommended product (though I suggest you get your dog tested and get recommended dosage before purchasing). Fast delivery - good price. -
Palatable for two out of three pets and effective for all.
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3My vet tested my pets' vitamin D3 levels and all three were deficient. She recommended Vet Rx D3 for the cats and D3 Forte for my dog then retested in three months and their levels were normal. My dog LOVES the taste and licks it out of my hand. One cat likes the taste and the other doesn't, so I had to dose him with a syringe for months until he finally adjusted and would eat it mixed into his food. I don't think anyone should give their animals D3 with out a vet's supervision. -
Works great for my kitties with previously low vit D levels
From UndisclosedComments about Rx D3This product was recommended to us by our veterinarian, and it has really helped our kitties who previously had low vitamin D levels. It used to be formulated in olive oil, but it's now in coconut oil. No difference in product activity or effects so far. Also, VetRxDirect shipped the bottles in a box, which was great! I've had other companies ship similar products in padded bags, and the bottles have broken, so I appreciate the extra shipping protection.

After testing, the lab recommended 2000 IU/day (0.75 on the dropper) for my dog, however the measurement on the dropper of 0.75 contains 30 drops which would be 3000 IU/day. Stick with the 20 drops to be sure??
-
The Rx D3 contains 100 IU per drop. To achieve a dose of 2000 IU/day, 20 drops of the Rx D3 would have to be given. The Rx D3 Forte contains 500 IU per drop. The number of drops of the Rx D3 Forte formulation would be 4 drops to reach 2000 IU/day. Your veterinarian may be able to assist with more specific instructions.
