I would buy again
From Greenville, SCComments about Sentinel SpectrumI take in rescue Pomeranians, many with health issues. It is well tolerated in my older, smaller dogs. They eat the chew with no problems. It controls heartworms, fleas, roundworms, whipworms, hookworms and tapeworms. It does not control ticks to my knowledge but my dogs are indoor so that is not a problem. -
A good product and good price.
From UndisclosedComments about Sentinel SpectrumEasy to use and my dogs readily take it. I have not had any adverse reactions and I frequently take in animals with special needs so that is important. Price is good too.-
My 2 who take it. Keeps them parasite free.

SENTINEL SPECTRUM IS OUR ONLY CHOICE FOR OUR DOG!
From UndisclosedComments about Sentinel SpectrumWe first started using Trifexis as recommended by our previous vet for our healthy female Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog. However, after a year I saw some scary reviews and comments online about Trifexis; thus, researched for something else and came up with Sentinel Spectrum. Been using this for over two years now {no side effects} and our dog passes with flying colors on her annual vet checkups. Besides Sentinel Spectrum is almost half the price of Trifexis! -
I intend to use no other product ever, but Sentinel Spectrum
From undisclosedComments about Sentinel SpectrumFtrst of all, my dog loves taking Sentinel Spectrum! And it treats her right! No ill after effects and unlike other brands I have tryed in the past, my dog has not gotten seizures from taking it. Lastly, she is bug free! -
I will buy this product again and highly recommend this pro.

I would HIGHLY recommend this!!
From undisclosedComments about Sentinel SpectrumI use this for 3 of my dogs. I use it for flea control and for heart worm protection. At one time, we had a pretty major flea problem here.It took me by surprise because all my dogs were on frontline at the time, so I never expected any flea issues. Apparently the Frontline did not work with the fleas that are where I live. So, I used every other day of Capstar and also vacuuming with salt daily to get it under control. Once the fleas were gone, I chose Sentinel Spectrum as a way to ensure the fleas would not ever get that bad again. It is basically birth control for fleas..so they can never really infest your home..even if a stray flea manages to get on your dog while they are outside. I have been using it over 2 years and it has worked perfectly. Have not see a flea since I began using it and the dogs are all testing as heart worm negative, so the Heartworm protection from Sentinel is working great also. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. Another thing that helped me decide to use this product is that it is a really safe product. Other flea control methods can really harm your dog but this one is very safe!

My vet prescribes both Sentinel Spectrum and Bravecto for my two adult (14 lb) dogs. Are both prescriptions necessary? I do not want to give my dogs any unnecessary drugs. We live in a moderately dry climate.?
-
Sentinel Spectrum is a medication indicated for use in the prevention of heartworm and fleas, as well as the treatment and prevention of tapeworms, whipworms, roundworms, and hookworms. Bravecto is a medication indicated for the treatment and prevention of fleas and ticks (including the lone star tick). You should follow the recommendations of your veterinarian. Your veterinarian has more complete information and is able to give an appropriate recommendation for your specific case.

Do you sell this product for cats? I have a kitten (approx 6 months) that has a drs. appt. this week. I also have 6 chewables left over from my Chihuahua that recently passed away. I was wondering if it would be safe to give them to my kitten.?
-
Sentinel Spectrums formulation and dosing is specific for the use in dogs. Please contact your veterinarian to see what product they would recommend to be best for your kitten.

Can this product be given to dogs on a mostly raw diet (for kidneys)??
-
Sentinel Spectrum is a heartworm and intestinal parasite preventative that comes in a flavored chewable tablet. According to the manufacturer, the efficacy of Sentinel is not affected by the type of food in a dog's diet (canned, dry, raw, grain-free, etc). Sentinel should be administered immediately after or in conjunction with a meal to ensure the medication absorbs properly.

note on website saying only 6 months can be given at a time, but it looks like i can order the 12mo supply.. please confirm before i checkout.?
-
The dating on the medication had been short dated so we were only able to send 6 months at a time, but it does look like now the dating goes out past a year so we are able to fill a 12 month supply. We apologize for the confusion. Thank you, VetRxDirect

How does Sentinel Spectrum compare to Triflexis other than being less expensive??
-
These products contain different active ingredients, but have the same indication. Sentinel Spectrum contains the active ingredients milbemycin, lufenuron, and praziquantel. Triflexis contains the active ingredients milbemycin and spinosad. They are both used to prevent heartworm and protect against the same parasitic infections, which the exception of Sentinel Spectrum providing additional protection against tapeworm. Also, Sentinel is to be used for 6 months after exposure to mosquitoes to protect your pet from heartworm, while Triflexis only needs to be used for 3 months after exposure. Your veterinarian may have a preference for a particular heartworm product and they can help you choose the right product for your pet. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My vet refuses to give a prescription and he does not carry sentinel spectrum. He says he have equally good products. Is there anything I can do to order sentinel spectrum. My dogs have regular checkups and all their shots. I just want to use sentinel.?
-
If the veterinarian won't give you a prescription really the only other thing you would be able to do is try a different vet. Unfortunately, we cannot fill a prescription item without a prescription from a veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect

is sentinel spectrum the same as sentinel..packaging looks different on your site??

It is a little bit different. The sentinel spectrum has praziquantel and sentinel does not. The sentinel spectrum protects against tapeworms, where the Sentinel does not. Thank you, VetRxDirect
