Highly recommended by my vet
From UndisclosedComments about VetradentThis product came highly recommended by my veterinarian because I have a pug who inhales most of her food and doesn't take the time to chew her food & treats enough to get the benefits of dental cleaning products. I know several pet owners whose small breed dogs lost their teeth as they aged due to poor dental care. Have been using Vetrident for about a year, and so far it seems to be working well with minimal plaque/tartar build up. I add it to her water & she seems to tolerate it well. -
Recommended by vet, available here for a much better price!
From UndisclosedComments about VetradentOur vet recommended we use this water additive in our dog's water bowl each day. Hard to know what effect it is having, as he recently had his first dental cleaning, so his nicer-smelling breath may be a result of that. Whatever is responsible, we are happy about the improvement and will buy this product again.

Is Vetradent powder more economical than the 17 Oz. bottle of liquid? I have two big dogs that drink a lot of water.?
-
The Vetradent Water Additive contains 17oz (503ml) or approximately 100 tsp of liquid product. The directions state: Add 2 teaspoons of Vetradent to each cup of water. Vetradent Powder Additive contains 10.6 oz (300gm) or approximately 60 tsp of dry product. The manufacturer's directions state: Add 1 scoop (1 1/4 tsp) of Vetradent Powder to 4 1/4 cups of hot water and mix for 30 seconds or until powder dissolves. Allow water to cool before serving to your dog or cat. When comparing these two products, the most economical choice for you may also depend on your personal preference. The liquid additive is added directly to drinking water and the powder must be first dissolved into hot water and allowed to cool.
Verified Answer -
Yes! The powder is much better price wise. It lasts so much longer and takes little work. I make a big batch every week or so and keep it in the fridge.

Can this product have a bad taste to dogs when placed in a metal bowel ??
-
I really don't know but will since some of the components are mildly acidic, might dissolve some metals. Should be no effect on a stainless steel bowl but other metals, maybe.
