What is Atopica for Cats?

  • Atopica for cats is a liquid prescription medication used to control skin allergies in cats.
  • The drug in Atopica is Cyclosporine USP MODIFIED. It is NOT interchangeable with Sandimmune.
  • Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant type of drug which works on the immune system response that causes itching and inflammation in an allergic reaction.

Why do cats and dogs use Atopica?

  • Atopica is prescribed to relieve the inflammation and itching associated with allergic dermatitis or other skin conditions in cats. 
  • It may also be prescribed in the treatment of certain immune system disorders.

What else should I know about Atopica?

  • Atopica does not contain steroids.

How do you use Atopica?
