Endosorb for diarrhea
From UndisclosedComments about EndosorbThis is an outstanding product for my pet who has continual digestive issues. This company sells this product at a fair price and their service is awesome. -
Definitely helps!
From TexasComments about EndosorbMy 1 year old GSD has always had a "soft poo" issue. It's not diarhea, but way softer than it should be. I've tried a number of things including probiotics, edible clay, and canned pumpkin pulp. None of these things helped. GSD's almost always have what the English call "dodgey" tummies. I've done multiple protein/carb switches. So I decided to try Endosorb and it has definitely helped firm up her poo. Right now I'm adding one tab at her evening meal. Not sure if long term usage could be an issue and I haven't discussed this with my vet, but for now it's doing the trick and I plan to continue with good results. -
Great service?
From Stillwater, OK, USAComments about EndosorbBought this and was so pleased with the ease of checkout and the shipping was super fast! Would definetly buy from again! -
Fast Service and Cost Efficient
From Denver, CO, USAComments about EndosorbI purchased Endosorb tablets from VetRx Direct for my dog's diarrhea issue. A previous prescription from our veterinarian was very costly. I liked that VetRx offered a per tablet price. The best part was that they were quick to ship and the quality was the same that I would have gotten from my personal vet. I will definitely use them again. -
Good product. Seems to help with the puppy runs
From Portland, OR, USAComments about EndosorbThe vet recommended that we give this to our 8 month old Golden Retriever for when she gets diarrhea. It seemed to help really quickly. We have only had to use it once and hopefully will not have to use it again. But we are satisfied with this. -
Perfect for messy transitions
From Seattle, WA, USAComments about EndosorbI buy this to have in stock for all my foster dogs. They usually all have diarrhea when the show up due to stress colitis, change in food, change in environment, antibiotic medication due to KC, and nerves. It really helps to harden the stool by soaking up the excess liquid in their intestines. I have seen it help ease my fosters and in turn it means I am cleaning up less messes. I also always send home 4 tablets when my dogs go to new homes. I used to get this from my vet, until I found this website. I feel this is a "must have" for anyone fostering dogs and for rescues and shelters to have in stock. -
Great price!
From Hazleton, PA, USAComments about EndosorbThis is the same medication I get at the vet's...the difference is at the vet's office I get less than half the number of tablets (27) and pay more than twice the amount that 60 tablets cost on vetrxdirect. Really worth talking the time to order. I keep them on hand as our lab has a touchy digestive tract. -
Great product for doggy diarrhea
From Washington, NHComments about EndosorbI have four dogs and every once in a while one of them gets diarrhea. At the first sign of a very loose stool I give one Endosorb tablet. I never wait until it's full blown messy diarrhea; I like to nip it in the bud. Often 1 tablet is all they need, but occasionally I've had to repeat the dose once or twice more that day (you can give 1 tablet every 4 hours) before their stool is back to normal. This is an excellent product when used on a short term basis. If the diarrhea continues or gets worse it's time to let the vet prescribe more heavy duty antidiarrheal drugs.

Dose for up to 50lb is 2tab every 4 hours. My girl (12 yr. old German shepard) is over 80 lbs. Is it safe to assume I can give 3 tabs. Also, is there any issue with her not chewing the tabs? She swallows them whole. She's a bit of a pig!?
-
According to the manufacturer, it is recommended that a dog weighing between 76 lbs to 100lbs should take 4 tablets every 4 hours. Not chewing the tablets can increase the risk of choking. The stomach will also need to work harder to digest the unchewed food which can lead to bloating or abdominal discomfort.

How do I give the oral suspension to my pup? He needs 15ml and I need ideas for how to give it to him bc out of the syringe and down his throat isn't working and he's beginning to trust me less. Breaking my heart!?
-
Endosorb is sold as both a tablet and an oral suspension. The suspension is designed to be administered orally with a syringe. Please consult with your veterinarian for administration techniques or to see if the chewable tablets might be a good option.
Verified Answer -
Have a VERY tasty treat in your hand as you use the syringe and immediately pop the treat in his mouth as/after you give him the medicine. It's very important that you prepare ahead so that you can give the treat almost simultaneously with the dose in the syringe -of course the treat comes after but so close after that there's no time for the pup to wait/question. The treat should be a high-value to your pup, like meat or freeze-dried liver. Never call him to you to give this! Always go to him for this or any other thing that he considers unpleasant. Insert the syringe from the side of his mouth where there is a space with no teeth. Praise him profusely. You will not ruin your relationship with your pup if you follow these instructions.😊 The trick is to make everything involved as happy for your pup as possible so the medicine does not take center stage.

What is the shelf life of endosorb tablets. I was prescribed some from my vet in July 2019 Are they still good??
-
Expiration dates vary based on the date the batch was manufactured. The Endosorb stock bottle only lists a lot number and not an expiration date. The company would be able to provide an expiration date based on the lot number if provided to them. If Endosorb was dispensed by your veterinarian, the bottle may list a default expiration date which is usually 1 year from the date of dispensing or sooner if the product expires sooner.

will this cause constipation??
-
The main ingredient in Endosorb is called Attapulgite, which is a form of clay that binds to large amounts of bacteria to help reduce water loss from diarrhea. Endosorb should only be given while the dog or cat is experiencing nonspecific diarrhea and should be discontinued once a normal stool consistency is reached. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this medication.
