This stuff is wonderful BUT
This got the greyhound to eating after a bout of canine flu. She had lost so much weight and was very weak from not eating. She is typically an iffy eater. If she over heats (which is almost every day in triple digit NM summers) she stops eating. If she goes two days without eating, she is reluctant to eat even if she feels okay. We have discovered that the right dose for her (@35lb) is to place a finger over the open top of the bottle and tip the bottle over and back upright. The amount remaining on the end of the finger is then rubbed on her lips so she can lick it off. Once is usually enough, sometimes a second similar "dose" is needed. This keeps her from throwing it up and/or foaming. Usually within the hour she will start back eating. If not, she gets a second dose.

Entyce Works, but Dog Can't Stand the Taste
My vet recommended this product for my senior dog who had quit eating any kibble or canned dog food of any brand. My dog was diagnosed with kidney disease, so had been prescribed special diet dog food. Dog would not eat it. Entyce does work and made my dog hungry, but didn't overcome his pickiness. However, the Entyce must taste terrible. He spits it out all over the floor, foams at the mouth, gags, and throws up. It was so bad, that as soon as he smelled it he would run from me. It is expensive. If your dog needs it and will tolerate it, great. Entyce did get my dog through a bad spell that without it he would have become dehydrated and starved.

Produced outstanding results!
From UndisclosedComments about Entyce (capromorelin) Oral Solution 30mg/mLOur dog was not eating and, of course, losing weight and had lost most of his fur. At age 14, this is a ominous sign. The first dose of Entyce produced an appetite and as long as he receives it daily, he is eating normally, has gained his weight back, has grown new fur and is a healthy senior! -

Did not work and my dog hated the taste
From CTComments about Entyce (capromorelin) Oral Solution 30mg/mLThis did not work for my dog Belle at all! Also she hated the taste! Who ever decided dogs would like something that tastes like butterscotch? It was so sad to see her try to spit it out and run to the water bowl. No increase in appetite, either. -
Yes, I would buy this product again.

Worked great. Saved $
From UndisclosedComments about Entyce (capromorelin) Oral Solution 30mg/mLThis really helped my pet to eat, and pretty fast too. Once your vet approves and sends RX. You'll have it fairly quick. Saved me a lot money buying it through vet direct. Recommend it and VetRxDirect -
Seemed to work quite well with my dog
From Hialeah, FloridaComments about Entyce (capromorelin) Oral Solution 30mg/mLMy dog(lab mix, female, 8 years old) has been on Entyce for a month now. I have to say I've definitely noticed a difference. The lack of eating was unnoticeable at first but it got to the point where she wasn't even touching her food. A full checkup turned up nothing unusual. I was skeptical seeing as though this product is new and it's also a bit expensive. However, after seeing my dog start to scarf down every last bit of kibble I consider it well worth the money. -
Expensive & ineffective
From undisclosedComments about Entyce (capromorelin) Oral Solution 30mg/mLMy dog is barely responding to this. In the beginning she did but I'm wondering if she has built up a tolerance for it. But I don't want to detour anyone, it's unclear why my dog isn't eating. Something is wrong, but not diagnosed. However it is ridiculously expensive for the quantity they dispense and the amount she needs to take. I have to reorder as soon as it ships. Clearly the manufacturer is very proud of their product to charge SO much.

What is the flavoring in entyce?? And is it real protein...I have a dog on an elimination diet.?
-
Per the manufacturer, the flavoring is vanilla. ENTYCE (capromorelin) is a selective ghrelin receptor agonist that binds to receptors in the pituitary gland, which then increases growth hormone secretion, stimulating an increased appetite. The manufacturer states ENTYCE should be used with caution in dogs with liver or kidney problems. Please speak to your veterinarian to determine if ENTYCE would be a good fit for your dog.

How much Entyce should I give my 2.5lb chihuahua? I gave him some around 1 and it is now after 7. He still doesn't want to eat.?
-
Entyce, capromorelin, is an appetite stimulant medication for dogs. The manufacturer evaluated the effectiveness of Entyce using a laboratory and clinical field study both lasting 4 days. Dogs were randomized to receive either Entyce solution or a placebo solution containing no active ingredient. The success rates of the two groups at the end of the 4 day study were found to be clinically significant where the dogs treated with Encyce had shown an increase in food consumption compared with placebo. This medication may help your animal feel better in as little as 1 to 2 hours but could take a few days to notice changes to appetite and the amount of food consumed. It is recommended that you talk with your veterinarian about the dosage of this medication for your dog, and follow their recommendations for use.
