- Be sure to check the dose meter regularly to ensure your pet is receiving a full dose of Fluticasone Propionate.
- Using special feline and canine aerosol masks (sold separately) helps ensure that your pet receives the full dose of Fluticasone Propionate. Be sure that the facemask you use to administer the Fluticasone Propionate fits your pet properly – it should fit snuggly around the muzzle and corners of the mouth.
- Ground shipping is required due to Department of Transportation regulations. There is no expedited shipping.
What problems could my dog or cat have with the Fluticasone Propionate HFA Inhaler?
- Fluticasone Propionate is not an effective treatment of an acute bronchospasm, active wheezing or shortness of breath.
- Fluticasone may cause sore throat (uncommon). If this sign is severe, worsens or continues to be a problem, contact your veterinarian.
- lthough unlikely, long-term, high doses of this drug could cause “Cushingoid” effects.
How do you use Fluticasone Propionate HFA Inhalers?
- Use as directed by your veterinarian.
- Shake well before use.
- Most effective when used with a spacer or chamber like the AeroKat or AeroDawg Aerosol Chambers. The chamber mixes the drug with air so that your dog or cat will breathe in the medication instead of swallowing it.
- Store between 36°F to 86°F (2°C to 30°C); protect from freezing and direct sunlight. Store canister with the mouthpiece down.

Fluticasone Propionate HFA 44 mcg Inhaler
- After priming, the Fluticasone Propionate HFA 44 mcg inhaler releases 50 mcg of fluticasone propionate in 60 mg of suspension from the valve of the metal canister into the plastic canister holder.
- The amount of fluticasone released at the mouthpiece of the plastic canister holder for inhalation is 44 mcg.
- A Fluticasone Propionate HFA 44 mcg inhaler is a fluticasone 50 mcg inhaler - the concentration of the drug is just measured at different points of the inhaler.
Fluticasone Propionate HFA 110 mcg Inhaler
- After priming, the Fluticasone Propionate HFA 110 mcg inhaler releases 125 mcg of fluticasone propionate in 75 mg of suspension from the valve of the metal canister into the plastic canister holder.
- The amount of fluticasone released at the mouthpiece of the plastic canister holder for inhalation is 110 mcg.
- A Fluticasone Propionate HFA 110 mcg inhaler is a fluticasone 125 mcg inhaler - the concentration of the drug is just measured at different points of the inhaler.

- After priming, the Fluticasone Propionate HFA 220 mcg inhaler releases 250 mcg of fluticasone propionate in 75 mg of suspension from the valve of the metal canister into the plastic canister holder.
