It works!
I purchased this collar on the advice of my vet, for one of my resident cats who suddenly was showing aggression towards my foster cats. The very day I hung the collar the beat downs stopped. Later I hung one on my old girl that is nervous and high strung. It took a few days but she's now much calmer and more relaxed.

He hissed, spit, and he was just not happy. He seemed to have lost his trust in us. From the day I put this collar on him, what a difference!!!! My boy cat is very aggressive with his sister who is 1/2 his body weight. Using this collar has mellowed him out to the point where we have harmony. It doesn't drug him but takes the edge off so I can stop thinking of rehoming him which was breaking my heart to even think about it. Also want to mention the customer service of VetRxDirect. They were prompt in responding to a concern I had about delivery. I really appreciate their commitment to customer service.

What is the pheromone in this product??

NurtureCALM 24/7 pheromone collar mimics the pheromone that the mother cat/dog produces to calm and reassure their offspring. We called the manufacturer for specific pheromone info and they considered that proprietary information and could not give us specifics.

My cat starting having seizures when the collar was put on. Even after I took the collar off, she never was the same again. She seemed always in a daze, eyes glassy.?

i put the collar on my 15 lb bengal….within 10 min he starting vomiting profusely….is this common??

This reaction is not common. The collar also contains lavender and chamomile fragrances which may rarely cause nausea in susceptible cats. Hi,I was wondering if the white powder is supposed to stay or not because I put the collar on yesterday and the cat has already rubbed of all of it. Is the collar still effective without the powder?thanx,Sacha?

Sacha, The directions on the package indicate that the initial release of powder is designed to activate the pheromones in the collar, and that the excess powder is simply a carrier for the pheromones. You should not be concerned that the powder has rubbed off, the collars are designed to last 30 days; though you can prolong their effectiveness by sealing them in a plastic bag when not in use.
