Healthful supplement
From Peoria, IL, USAComments about Ocu-GLOWe started buying this on the advice from our vet after our dog was diagnosed with progressive retinal atrophy. Honestly, it's hard to tell how much it has helped her eyesight. We are hoping that this has slowed down it's progress. We've been using it for about a year and she can still see some objects in bright light. I do believe that the fatty acids help keep her coat healthy and shiny. -
Good service
From MDComments about Ocu-GLOI promptly received my order and am very satisfied with their service. -
Helping my dog was never easier.
From Bedford, Michigan, USAComments about Ocu-GLOA few months ago, I started noticing my dog was having difficulty seeing. There was quite a long wait for my dog to get in to see an ophthalmologist, but I felt I needed to be proactive in preserving my dogs eye sight. All of my research pointed me in the direction of a product called Ocu-Glo Rx. I immediately purchased some thru this site and began giving my dog the pills as soon as they arrived. About a week after my dog started these pills, he had his first ophthalmologist appointment. It turns out my dog has Glaucoma. The doctor agreed that I should continue administering the Ocu-Glo Rx, along with his newly prescribed meds. After about a month and a half my dog is not only stabilized, but some days seems better than before any of the Ocu-Glo treatment. I don't know how much is because of his prescribed meds, or how much is from the Ocu-Glo, but I do know that I will continue on with the Ocu-Glo, as I believe they are providing a healthy base in my dogs eyes to assist with his other meds. I would recommend this product to all pet owners. -
Saved my dog's sight
From DeLand, FL, USAComments about Ocu-GLOI have had my Chihuahua on Ocu-Glo Rx for about two years. She was placed on this product by an eye specialist veterinarian. She had an eyeball perforation and the veterinarian placed a patch taken from under her eyelid and placed over the hole. We were warned that this operation has a low chance of sight return but it most likely would save her eye from removal. Although it was an expensive operation, I thought any degree of hope had to be taken. At the worst scenario, we might not have to remove the eye. After the operation, we started Missy on the Vision Support. My vet was astounded at how quickly the patch attached and not only saved her eye but returned her vision. Her we are, two years and the patch is still viable and her vision is still good. I am absolutely thrilled. I truly feel that Ocu-Glo Rx played a major role, as well as a superior surgeon, in her recovery. She is not young; eleven at surgery time and now thirteen. The vet told us to keep her on this product daily for the rest of her life. Indeed, we will do so. In fact, I am tempted to take it myself!! -
Prescription problem
From UndisclosedComments about Ocu-GLOWhen my dogs prescription arrived, the pills were frozen and some had burst...I called Customer Service and was told they would send another bottle of medication at no charge. Customer Service was very professional and I received the prescription in several days... Very satisfied and the shipping is free!!!!!! -
Works great
From Gillette, WY, USAComments about Ocu-GLOThis was recommend by my vet. Got it for my Shiz Tzu I have seen his eyes clear up. -
Recommended by a vet eye specialist.
From Seneca, SC, USAComments about Ocu-GLOAnd also by a highly respected researcher in the eye diseases of dogs. My dog takes the capsule readily, and I have high hopes for reducing the chance that his vision will be compromised. -
Helps with overall eye treatment plan
From Atlanta, GAComments about Ocu-GLOI have been purchasing Ocu-GLO for approx 12 months for my 12 yr old Jack Russell Terrier and my 7 yr old Rat Terrier. Both have eye problems and both have regularly scheduled apptms with our vet opthamalogist. Ocu-Glo has helped both of my fur-kids. Ocu-Glo is not a cure, but it is a valuable part of my fur-kids overall eye care treatment plan. Ocu-Glo has diminished some of the eye issues my fur-kids have, which would otherwise be far worse, and improves the quality of their lives. I, like most pet parents, who want to do all we can for the health of our fur-babies and I find this product helpful and that it aids in my fur-kids' eye care. -
Easy to Use
From Buffalo, NY, USAComments about Ocu-GLOI have just started using this supplement so I can't comment on how well it works yet, but it is very easy to administer. I just drop the whole capsule in my dog's food bowl and she eats it right up. It seems like a very well researched product, packaging is very informative and instructions are easy to follow. -
Great Product
From UndisclosedComments about Ocu-GLOI bought this product for my sweet golden retriever when he was diagnosed with glaucoma. Wish I had known about it before. He has been taking it for 2 years. Every time I tell a doctor or pet caregiver about it they all give it top ratings.
Q & A

my dog started the powdered capsule about 5 days ago and seems to poop more than usual. She is 8 1/2lbs 1 capsule daily. Could this be a problem?
-
If your dog is experiencing loose stools or diarrhea, the dose may be too high. Stopping the supplement until stools return to normal may be beneficial. Consult with your veterinarian to determine which dose is best for your dog.

Why is my Ocu-Glo powder blend a different color than it used to be??
-
According to the manufacturer, they switched vendors for the raw material Astaxanthin to get a higher quality product. The older product may appear more yellow, while the newer product may appear more orange in color. Astaxanthin is a naturally-occurring carotenoid found in algae, shrimp, lobster, crab and salmon. Carotenoids are pigment colors that occur in nature and support good health.

Hi, I have a question about dosage. My dog is 11 pounds, and the suggested daily use for 11lb is one medium/large dog capsule. However wouldn't that be too much for him? The weight range is 11-30 lbs and I'm worried about side effects from overdosing. I would appreciate your answer.?
-
The manufacturer stated dosage for an 11 pound dog is 1 medium/large size dog capsule. The Ocu-Glo for small dogs contains half of the amount of active ingredients by weight per capsule compared to Ocu-Glo for medium/large dogs and is recommended for dogs under 11 pounds. You should contact your vet with your specific concerns to ensure proper care for you dog is provided.

-
Ocu-GLO snipcaps and powder blend are designed to be able to be opened and spread over food or a treat to make administration easier. You can open the powder blend capsules or snipcap to mix in with your dog’s meal, which may be easier for you and your dog.

WOULD IT BE TOO LATE TO START GIVING A DOG OCUGLO IF CATARACTS HAVE ALREADY SET IN AND THE DOG CANNOT SEE. WOULD IT REVERSE OR LESSEN THE CLOUDINESS OF THE EYES.?
-
Ocu-GLO is a product designed to support and maintain overall eye health. The manufacturer states it is intended to slow the onset of cataracts and maintain eye health as a preventative supplement. It will not reverse cataracts that have already set in. Consult your veterinarian regarding the treatment of your dog’s cataracts to ensure proper and effective treatment.
Verified Answer -
I am no vet but when we took our 5 year old Schnauzer to the Ophthalmologist for Retinal Degeneration, he recommended we also give it to our 10 year old Schnauzer for cataracts to slow down the process. Just thought I would share :)

My dog is 16 lbs, been having a hard time getting him to take the capsules now..Can he use the ones for small dogs? Even though they say 10 lbs and under? Could he take 2 small tables in place of the 1 capsule.?
-
According to the manufacturer, the strength of the liquid gel caps for medium to large dogs (> 11 lbs) is 350 mg. The strength of the liquid snip caps for small dogs (< 10 lbs) is 175 mg. Giving two of the liquid snip caps for small dogs would provide an equal amount to one of the liquid gel caps for medium to large dogs.
