Miracle Product
I have 2 cats with renal failure, they get week and wobbly in their back legs, and lose one of them loses her appetite at times. You can see dramatic improvement all of the symptoms within 24 hours, especially the appetite. If the wobbling in the back legs has been going on for a long time, then it'll take a week or so to really get to work. The potassium powder is the easiest for me. No matter how finicky my animals are the powder seems to have just about no taste and they don't mind it a bit. My cats don't go for the gels and pastes out there. I would also recommend the Liqui Tinic for anemic animals, whether your vet prescribes it or not, it's a great Iron, B complex, and vitamin supplement.
PetRxDirect is the ONLY pet online pharmacy I'll ever use again. This review is about a year tardy, from my first time ordering. They are so fast with the orders, and it's like they give personal care to each order. I feel like I'm dealing with a family owned small business (maybe it is I don't know) vs a big online pharmacy. Whether that be some free kitty treats to a personal response to my email requesting a change to my order before it was shipped.

Not sure
Too early to tell. Happy just had a renal panel and the Vet recommended this. The problem is I was already giving it to him for two weeks. Maybe it just needs more time. to take effect.

Same Product at a Better Price
From Boise, IDComments about Renal K+ (potassium gluconate)My senior cat has kidney disease and my vet recommended this potassium powder as a supplement. For the past four years I've been purchasing this through the vet at a significantly higher price. I was so happy when I discovered that I could purchase this at a much better price directly from VetRxDirect. -

Good for senior dog's kidneys
From SW OhioComments about Renal K+ (potassium gluconate)My vet recommended this to help my 14-year old German shepherd mix whose kidneys are beginning to fail--he was urinating frequently and his urine was very pale in color. I feed a dry kibble with a top dressing of canned food (meaty chunks and gravy), I put the Renal K+ on top and mix it all together and he eats it well. Since I started feeding Renal K+, he urinates less frequently and his urine is definitely yellow again. -
Great product
From New York, USAComments about Renal K+ (potassium gluconate)I was using the gel form purchased from vet. After reading the reviews here I ordered the powder. It is so easy to measure and dissolves instantly in the canned cat food. My cat doesn't eat around it as he did the gel. It is also much more economical ordering from vetrxdirect. Thank you!-

Does the job, but cat doesn't like it
From Asheville, NC, USAComments about Renal K+ (potassium gluconate)I've been giving this to my elderly cat for several months, and it helps her keep mobility in her back legs, but I have to mix it with wet food for her to eat it. -
If I had only thought...
From Deerfield Beach, FL, USAComments about Renal K+ (potassium gluconate)I just moved to a new city and brought my cat's prescription with me, but a new vet wouldn't fill it until an exam. My cat has been using Renal K+ powder, and has been monitored, for a few years. If I had only thought to find it online, I could have saved a lot by not paying my vet's price! Vetrxdirect has great prices and fast delivery. I'll be back to order more!

My vet gave this to me yesterday after I called them to inform them I came home to find my 16 yr old ( with recently diag Kidney failure) walking with her head down. I started IV fluid treatments under the skin for flushing and they said it is common for potassium to be lost during this process. So my question is when should she start holding her head up again, thankfully she is still trying to eat, that has been a problem for mos until I changed vets?
-
Please contact your veterinarian regarding your cat or dog’s medical condition.
