Senilife Saved My Akita and Gave Us a Miracle
My 13 year old akita Lupercus was in a downward spiral physically and mentally. His physical problems were related to his varied diagnoses. The mental problems were in part related to his deteriorating vision and hearing which left him vulnerable and consequently made him anxious and defensive. His old age related dementia was exacerbated by the pain medications which were designed to alleviate discomfort by inhibiting the nerves from firing and sending pain messages to the brain. There's one major problem with that treatment: if the nerves aren't firing in your body, then they're not firing in your head (Blood carries the medication throughout your system.). If the nerves in you head/brain aren't firing, you can forget about remembering, learning, problem solving, or basic voluntary motor functioning. This was the case with Lupercus. He was afraid to be away from me and was pulling out his hair when I was at work. He would get "lost" in the apartment, and he would bark and growl at me because he didn't know who I was. If his leash was to short for him to walk one way, he no longer realized he could walk the other way. He would stumble when he walked and no longer had sufficient perception to even navigate up or down a curb. The stress negatively impacted his apetite, and as a result, he was losing body (I.e. muscle) mass. He was getting weaker, and he had zero quality of life. The vet thought that it was time for Lupercus to be "put to sleep." As a shot in the dark.last resort, he suggested we try Senilife. Within 3 days there was noticeable improvement. Within 3 months, there were absolutely no neurological, mental, or behavioral deficits detected. There were still some mobility issues related to the arthritis, but those were to be addressed by cold laser treatments. In closing, I would like to say that Lupercus continued taking Senilife, his quality of life was restored, and the option of euthanasia has not come up again to this very day.

Senilife didn't work, in fact the use added new behaviors
My purchase was based on reviews. I decided to try SENILIFE on my 16 year old poodle.
Approx after 2 1/2 weeks of use she had no relief of symtoms. In fact her pacing became worst. And she demonstrated sleepless days which she didn't have before. So I deciced to take her off of Senilife and she's once again sleeping throughout the day.

Great for elderly dogs!
From UndisclosedComments about Senilife XL, 30 Capsules, Dogs over 50lbsI started my 14 year old dog, Darwin, on this after he started showing signs of cognitive decline. After about a week on this supplement, combined with a few others, he's acting like his young self again! I bought my other dog a puzzle toy, and Darwin ended up taking it over and mastering it in 10 minutes. I wouldn't say this product is a "cure-all," but it's certainly improved his mental health!-

Great product for older dog's quality of life!
From UndisclosedComments about Senilife 30 Capsules, Dogs Under 50lbsWe have a now 11 year old French bulldog that we started on senilife a while back after he had some episodes during the middle of the night where he would act very confused and disoriented. It was heartbreaking to see him scared and unsure of his surroundings. After reading some great reviews we decided to give senilife a try and happy to say, he has not had a single episode since! -

This medicine has made a big difference in our fur baby,
From UndisclosedComments about Senilife 30 Capsules, Dogs Under 50lbsMy Vet recommended Senilife for my 16 year old Lhasa Apso she was appearing to be having some cognitive issues. She just finished her first 30 days and is doing so much better. She acts like a much younger fur baby already. Will definitely be continuing to give her Senilife. Great product. Also very pleased with ordering process and quick shipping. -

The Results are Incredible!
From UndisclosedComments about SenilifeI have a 14-year old Miniature Schnauzer that was beginning to show symptoms of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction. He seemed confused and unsure of what he wanted to do; he would wander into a room and stand there for a minute and then leave again - almost as if he didn't know why he went in there! Sometimes he would squeal when anyone came near him. It absolutely broke my heart. I spoke to my Veterinarian and she wanted to put him on some type of medication. I did NOT want to do that. So I started researching and I found Senilife. It is made specifically for senior dogs that are exhibiting the same types of behaviors Pepper had. Pepper has been taking Senilife for about 3 months now and the improvement in him is nothing short of miraculous. He has more energy, He no longer gets confused, he is very happy and is even eating better. He also hasn't squealed or appeared afraid for several weeks now. The difference in him, in such a short time, is incredible. He is doing so well and I am so grateful that I found this supplement. I only need to give him 1 capsule daily. He won't swallow the capsule, so I squeeze the contents on my hand and he licks it up from there. If you have a dog that is starting to show symptoms of what I call "Doggie Dementia" Please try Senilife. It has worked wonders for my dog! I highly recommended Senilife.-
This is my baby "Pepper"!!

how many capsules does a dog over 50 lbs get per day??
-
For dogs weighing 51-99 lbs give 1 capsule daily, and for 100 lbs and greater give 2 capsules daily of Senilife XL

Can I split the XL Senilife between two small dogs weighing 15lbs each??
-
Senilife comes in a gel-capsule that cannot be split evenly like a tablet. For best results, the manufacturer recommends giving individual capsules to each dog.

My Vet has recommended Senile for my 13 yr old Pekingnese who weighs 18 pounds. But it has been out of stock every time I search for it. And it is not available from my Vet or local stores. Can I split the XL capsule in half and give him half a dose daily until the Regular is available. It's been two months since and his symptoms are worsening. Please advise. Thank you?
-
The manufacturer indicates that the capsules may be broken to administer. However the XL formulation contains more than twice the amount of active ingredients than the regular Senilife formulation. This would make it more difficult to measure out the correct amount necessary for your dog's weight. It would be to your benefit to contact your veterinarian to discuss alternatives to the medication or if splitting the Senilife XL would be advisable. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Can Senilife be given as a preventative measure or should it only be used for dogs exhibiting old dog behaviors. I have a 9 and 7 year old. I also have a 14 year old with CCD.?
-
Karen, Senilife, a nutritional supplement, is used to help support brain function in elderly dogs. Senilife can be given to your pet safely prior to any observed symptoms of cognitive decline but unfortunately there are no clinical evidence to support this. If your pet has symptoms of cognitive decline the manufacturer recommends at least one month of treatment to determine if Senilife will benefit your pet. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between Senilife XL and regular strength??
-
Murphis, The Senilife XL has about 2.5 times the strength of the ingredients in each capsule and is meant for large dogs over 50 pounds. Larger dogs can take the regular Senilife but the recommended dose is 3 capsules per day versus 1 capsule of the Senilife XL. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Does Senilife alter blood glucose levels? If a diabetic dog ingests Senilife, will that dog's blood glucose level increase? Sorry, I can't think of a more simple way to ask my question. Wait, I just did. Is Senilife safe for diabetic dogs??
-
Stephanie, The manufacturer of Senilife states that the product has been formulated for long term use and is safe to use. No side effects have been reported by the manufacturer. Information regarding the individual components can be examined more closely. In humans, ginko biloba and resveratrol (grape extract), can theoretically increase insulin and insulin sensitivity which may decrease blood glucose levels. It is unknown whether these effects can be extrapolated to dogs. There is no information to indicate that Senilife affects blood glucose levels. There is no information stating that Senilife cannot be given to diabetic dogs. Speak with your veterinarian to decide if Senilife would be apporpriate for your dog. In additiona to the active ingredients, the additional ingredients in the capsules are: cod liver oil, seed oil products and byproducts, gelatin, glycerin, glyceryl, monostearate, titanium dioxide, FD&C Red 40 Thank you, VetRxDirect
