Ultra thin walls are worth it
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesUsed daily to administer subcutaneous fluids to a small dog. Ultra thin walled needles allowed us to go to a thinner gauge needle (21g), , which had a slightly easier insertion with minimal effect on flow rate. -
I would by this again
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesEasy to use, and much better than the monojet needles. -
Needles to give fluids to cat
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesGreat price on a product I need to administer SubQ fluids to my 17 year old kitty. I think the thinner needle is more comfortable for her. -
Trying terumo needles!
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesI read about terumo needles in the Internet. They were recommended to use for sub-q treatment with ckd cats. After searching, I found them at VetRxDirect, and I am currently checking various sizes. So far so good! Not pleasant to put a needle in your cat, but thus far the terumos do seem easier... glide in more smoothly and with less of a "pop" feel when piercing the skin. -
Very satisfied
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesService and website great! These needles are much smaller than what I got at the vets and much more comfortable for us to use and for our kitty. -
Such a difference!
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesFantastic. So much easier to slide in, cat hardly noticed--it's true that the higher gauge needles take a little longer, but with the thin wall/ultra thin wall it wasn't *noticeably* longer. I think next time I'll try and see if I can get a Terumo higher gauge in a 1.5" needle, just so I don't have to be paranoid about it sliding out. But trust me, if there isn't one, I'll stick with the Terumo high gauge in 1". It makes an incredible difference from the regular walled ones. -
great needles for sub q infusions
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles are very sharp and I've not come across any burs or defects. I use the 19g utw for 200ml infusions on my cat. He seems to react the same to that size as the 23g. They go in very smooth. Vetrxdirect was able to obtain an rx from my vet within a day or two and the order came a couple of days after that. Extremely fast. I would definitely recommend these needles and Vetrxdirect. -
Fluid delivery faster, but less comfortable
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesI love terumo thin walled needles. I tried a bigger size (smaller gauge), to make the delivery of fluids faster. It certainly delivered it faster, however, the needle is a bit thick for my cat. It is still thinner than what the vet uses, however, I worry about her comfort with daily subq fluids. -
Best needles ever
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese are easy to use and easy on my cat! -
Excellent for giving my cat fluids.
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesIf you have a cat needing subcutaneus fluid, these are the best needles Terumo 18 guage 1 inch thin wall. Inserting is less painful, and the fluid will flow quicker so the cat is much less likely to get fidgety. I take my needles in when Felix is getting the fluid It is so much easier with these needles
Q & A

I'm looking for a Monoject 250 20 x 3/4 A needle for subq fluids for my cat. I can't seem to find that gauge anywhere. Do you sell those? I got the above-named needle from my vet but cannot seem to find them online anywhere.?
-
Unfortunately we do not sell the Monoject brand of needles at this time. The closest size that we currently carry is manufactured by Terumo, 20 gauge, length 1.5 inches. You may consider speaking with your veterinarian to see which types of needles are the best option for your pet’s needs and the type of medication you are administering. Your veterinarian may be able to provide you with a supply, or recommend an alternative size that is more available for purchase.

Do you offer the Terumo 20g thin wall needles in 1" length? I need this size for administering subcutaneous fluids and find 1.5" is too long.?
-
Currently, Terumo does not manufacture the 20g veterinary needles in 1 inch length. If you feel that you need a shorter length needle, you may discuss this with your veterinarian to determine if another size needle will work for you and your pet.
Verified Answer -
This is the length I need as well as 1/5" is too long. The cat gets subcutaneous fluids every day so there is a lot of scar tissue

So to be sure the thin wall NN2525R terumo needles will screw into a Luer lock syringe? Similar to the way a Luer lock needle is? Or are they for slip tip only? This is what has been throwing me off.?
-
Terumo needles have a slip tip end, and they can be used with both luer lock and slip tip syringes.

Hello, First, I would like to confirm that you have the Terumo 19 gauge 1" thin wall and 21 gauge 1" ultra thin wall needles in stock. Do I first place the order on your site and then have my vet fax the prescription to you or do you require the prescription first? What is your fax number that my vet can use to send the prescription? I live in New York. Is there any prohibition against you shipping the needles once the prescription has been verified? Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Lonnie M.?

Will you be carrying the 20G x 1" needles? That is a good one for subcu fluids. A 1-1/2 " needle is a bit long for subcutaneous fluids, and the 20G is really a desirable gauge to use. Thanks, Cynthia?
-
same question: 1" thin wall (or ultra thin wall) 20 Gauge needles, please.
