Two Paws Up!
From TexasComments about Terumo NeedlesSince the 20 gauge needle is out of stock, I got the 21 gauge (1 inch) needles instead. These needles are WAY superior than the Monoject needles given by my vet. Significantly ease the process of administering Sub Q fluid and with no noticeable pain. Will definitely order these again! -
18 gauges mean quicker treatments (my cat prefers over 20s)
From Seattle, WAComments about Terumo NeedlesOriginally, I bought 20-gauge needles for administering sub-q fluids, thinking the needle stick was what kitty objects to. Turns out she doesn't like sitting still for the treatment with a needle under her skin. So for my feisty cat, 18-gauge needles work better because the fluid flows more quickly and she's done faster. For a mellow cat, 20s would be great. -
Shorter ones less ouch, longer ones flow faster
From Morgan Hill, CAComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles, the 22 gauge UTW (UT=ultra thin) 3/4" and the 21 gauge UTW 1" are both very good. I've had other 18 gauge needles the vet gave me, much too big. My cat Coco could feel the difference with these smaller needles, he did not complain as much. Also less fluid comes back out afterwards with smaller needles. Remember the larger the gauge (22 gauge), the smaller the needle. I liked the 22 guage the best, even though, with the narrower size, the flow is slower so it takes longer.-

I would purchase these again.
From Concord, NCComments about Terumo NeedlesI use these in conjunction with subcutaneous fluids for cat with kidney disease to alleviate dehydration -
Big improvement over vet-provided needles
From San Francisco CAComments about Terumo NeedlesI ordered the 19 gauge Terumo needles to replace the big things my vet gave me for administering sub cutaneous fluids to my 17 year old kitty. What a difference! He doesn't even flinch when I insert the needle, and it is still big enough that the fluids flow quickly. Thanks to all the reviews on the web about these needles, they improve quality of life for my kitty. -
Makes a difference
From Chicago, ILComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles made a big difference when administering daily sub-q's to my 18 year old cat over the 18-gauge that the vet initially provided. The needle was in and about 40% of the fluids were in before she even noticed the needle. -
They're just as sharp as everyone says
From Raleigh, NCComments about Terumo NeedlesNeedle size is a trade-off: bigger needle = faster flow, but more discomfort for the pet. 21 gauge Terumos are a good compromise. It's tough learning to stick a needle into your pet. Two tricks I've learned make it easier: The faster you put the needle in, the less discomfort for your pet. If you're quick about it, then by the time they realize they're being stuck, it's already over. When you put the needle on the tube end, orient it so that the bevel is up when the tube is relaxed and not trying to untwist itself. Make it so that you don't have to hold any twist in the tube to keep the bevel facing up. -
Great needles
From Seymour, IndianaComments about Terumo NeedlesI use these needles to give my cat Sub Q fluids. The needles the vet gave us were huge and I read a recommendation from a CKD site for these. While the 19g thin wall didn't go over well for my finicky, hard to handle cat, the 21g ultra thin walls worked great. He didn't even flinch. I was glad to find this site so I could try a couple of each to see what worked best instead of buying a whole box. -
The thin wall makes giving kitty his fluids MUCH easier.
From Princeton, NJComments about Terumo NeedlesThe thin wall makes the procedure of giving kitty his sub q fluids much quicker and easier. The needle seems much sharper so it goes in easier & is less painful for him. -
Best needles ever!
From Chicago, ILComments about Terumo NeedlesTerumo needles are extra sharp so they go in easily causing less discomfort to my cats. This makes them worth every penny!
Q & A

I'm looking for a Monoject 250 20 x 3/4 A needle for subq fluids for my cat. I can't seem to find that gauge anywhere. Do you sell those? I got the above-named needle from my vet but cannot seem to find them online anywhere.?
-
Unfortunately we do not sell the Monoject brand of needles at this time. The closest size that we currently carry is manufactured by Terumo, 20 gauge, length 1.5 inches. You may consider speaking with your veterinarian to see which types of needles are the best option for your pet’s needs and the type of medication you are administering. Your veterinarian may be able to provide you with a supply, or recommend an alternative size that is more available for purchase.

Do you offer the Terumo 20g thin wall needles in 1" length? I need this size for administering subcutaneous fluids and find 1.5" is too long.?
-
Currently, Terumo does not manufacture the 20g veterinary needles in 1 inch length. If you feel that you need a shorter length needle, you may discuss this with your veterinarian to determine if another size needle will work for you and your pet.
Verified Answer -
This is the length I need as well as 1/5" is too long. The cat gets subcutaneous fluids every day so there is a lot of scar tissue

So to be sure the thin wall NN2525R terumo needles will screw into a Luer lock syringe? Similar to the way a Luer lock needle is? Or are they for slip tip only? This is what has been throwing me off.?

Terumo needles have a slip tip end, and they can be used with both luer lock and slip tip syringes.

Hello, First, I would like to confirm that you have the Terumo 19 gauge 1" thin wall and 21 gauge 1" ultra thin wall needles in stock. Do I first place the order on your site and then have my vet fax the prescription to you or do you require the prescription first? What is your fax number that my vet can use to send the prescription? I live in New York. Is there any prohibition against you shipping the needles once the prescription has been verified? Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Lonnie M.?

Will you be carrying the 20G x 1" needles? That is a good one for subcu fluids. A 1-1/2 " needle is a bit long for subcutaneous fluids, and the 20G is really a desirable gauge to use. Thanks, Cynthia?
-
same question: 1" thin wall (or ultra thin wall) 20 Gauge needles, please.
