Same as from the vet, so convenient, and cheaper!
From UndisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)We use these with the milk bone pill pockets and our dog takes them no problem for her high anxiety. Spent a couple months paying more from our vet and having to go pick it up. It's so convenient to have them sent right to us, I never have to worry about running out or her being without it for a few days. Shipping was fast only a couple days too! -

Way easier to medicate with
From UndisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)My dog needs multiple pills a day and the flat shape of these pills makes giving them easier. However the way the company packed them led to two broken pills. -

5 Stars for Meds, 2 stars for VetRXDirect
From undisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)5 stars for the meds, 2 stars for Vet RX Direct. TraZODONE and Prozac together have been a God send for my dog's severe anxiety. I have ordered through VetRXDirect monthly for 14 months. When they are good, they are good, but there are many order delays. I had on my account to call the vet rather than fax and email concerns because these lead to more delays. When your dog is on Prozac or a medicine they need daily you can't afford delays, and that's the case with Prozac. It was a constant battle to get the drugs on time and in the end someone did not see the "call vet for approval" in my account and I have now been waiting for 12 days with 3-5 days shipping paid for and my dog is the one who suffers. Farrel at VetRXDirect apologized that they could not meet my needs, but did not own up to the mistake. I have to comment about the special discount I was offered through email, 5% off the order. However when I went you use it, I thought it was in addition to the daily 10% off that is always, but the stipulation was you could only use one discount so it was the 5% or the daily 10%. How silly. Good luck! -
Anxiety relief
From undisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)My Boxer has separation anxiety and 1/2 pill per day helps. Using VetRxDirect has been efficient. -
Life Saver for Anxiety
From undisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)My little girl has developed anxiety. It started with just thunderstorms and loud noises and progressed to every day where she would pace, pant and shake for no apparent reason. The fear initially was that she was developing early onset canine dementia. She was prescribed Trazadone to help determine if it was anxiety or dementia and luckily she responded very well to this. Thunderstorms are still an issue but otherwise she is back to her old self again! These pills are larger and she won't take them, putting them in her throat and holding her mouth shut causes more anxiety for her so I got a pill crusher, crush them up and mix into some canned food daily. #sweepstakes -

Thank you VetRX!
From undisclosedComments about TraZODONE (Generic)We recently adopted a dog that needs to be on trazodone for anxiety but our vet doesn't carry it, we tried some alternatives but nothing else seemed to help like this does. Without the medication she would attack the cats, whine, lick, and pace constantly no matter what we tried. :( Thankfully we found this place and our vet renewed the subscription for us! Happy pets and happy people! -

Unfortunately, a pharmacy is not able to make a recommendation for your pet without the direct involvement of your veterinarian. Your veterinarian has the most current medical history for your pet and is best suited to make the proper recommendation. Speak with your veterinarian to ensure your dog receives the proper diagnosis and treatment plan before starting any supplement or over-the-counter medication.

What would be the correct dosage for an 85 pound dog??
-
Usually the dose of trazodone ranges from 2-5 mg/kg by mouth as needed (usually every 8-24 hours) or administered as a single dose 1 hour prior to an anticipated event that may trigger anxiety. The dose should be started on the low side (2mg/kg) and worked up gradually to higher doses. Consult your veterinarian to determine if trazodone is right for your dog and the correct dosing.
