A Must-Have for GI Distress
From UndisclosedComments about EndosorbMy Siberian Husky has an extremely sensitive tummy, and suffers frequent loose stools. This makes his tummy feel better, and helps firm things up in the mean time- all with no side effects. I give them to him with a little bit of nut butter to make things more palatable. -
Very satisfied
From North CarolinaComments about EndosorbI received a supply of Endosorb from my vet for an episode of severe bloody diarrhea for my chocolate lab. It was determined, following extensive testing, that she had gotten to some rotten dead animal and had a feast. The vet gave me enough Endosorb to regulate the watery stool. Worked like magic. Since that episode, there have been 2 more picnic excursions, resulting in a milder form of diarrhea. I was SO happy to find the Endosorb here. About the same price, but so much easier than dragging that wiggling pup to the vet! -
Works Great!
From UndisclosedComments about EndosorbOur pup does great with this even one or two doses to firm things up. Highly recommended. -
Always keep this on hand
From Cary, NC, USAComments about EndosorbI have a rescue collie who has a very sensitive digestive system. When his bowels get too loose, I give him Endosorb tabs for a few days or so until he gets 'back on track'. That plus a daily dose of doggie probiotic from Ark Naturals has really stabilized his system. -
Very good

From North Carolina, USAComments about EndosorbThis product works. My almost 15 year old toy poodle takes so many meds for her heart and glaucoma that her stools are either very soft or runny. -

Dose for up to 50lb is 2tab every 4 hours. My girl (12 yr. old German shepard) is over 80 lbs. Is it safe to assume I can give 3 tabs. Also, is there any issue with her not chewing the tabs? She swallows them whole. She's a bit of a pig!?
-
According to the manufacturer, it is recommended that a dog weighing between 76 lbs to 100lbs should take 4 tablets every 4 hours. Not chewing the tablets can increase the risk of choking. The stomach will also need to work harder to digest the unchewed food which can lead to bloating or abdominal discomfort.

How do I give the oral suspension to my pup? He needs 15ml and I need ideas for how to give it to him bc out of the syringe and down his throat isn't working and he's beginning to trust me less. Breaking my heart!?
-
Endosorb is sold as both a tablet and an oral suspension. The suspension is designed to be administered orally with a syringe. Please consult with your veterinarian for administration techniques or to see if the chewable tablets might be a good option.
Verified Answer -
Have a VERY tasty treat in your hand as you use the syringe and immediately pop the treat in his mouth as/after you give him the medicine. It's very important that you prepare ahead so that you can give the treat almost simultaneously with the dose in the syringe -of course the treat comes after but so close after that there's no time for the pup to wait/question. The treat should be a high-value to your pup, like meat or freeze-dried liver. Never call him to you to give this! Always go to him for this or any other thing that he considers unpleasant. Insert the syringe from the side of his mouth where there is a space with no teeth. Praise him profusely. You will not ruin your relationship with your pup if you follow these instructions.😊 The trick is to make everything involved as happy for your pup as possible so the medicine does not take center stage.

What is the shelf life of endosorb tablets. I was prescribed some from my vet in July 2019 Are they still good??
-
Expiration dates vary based on the date the batch was manufactured. The Endosorb stock bottle only lists a lot number and not an expiration date. The company would be able to provide an expiration date based on the lot number if provided to them. If Endosorb was dispensed by your veterinarian, the bottle may list a default expiration date which is usually 1 year from the date of dispensing or sooner if the product expires sooner.

will this cause constipation??
-
The main ingredient in Endosorb is called Attapulgite, which is a form of clay that binds to large amounts of bacteria to help reduce water loss from diarrhea. Endosorb should only be given while the dog or cat is experiencing nonspecific diarrhea and should be discontinued once a normal stool consistency is reached. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this medication.
