Great, and easier than Monoject
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThe Terumo needles are great. I ordered size 18 and 19 thin-walled 1-inch needles to give my cat subcutaneous fluids daily. These replaced Monoject size 16 needles from the vet, and the difference is incredible. The Terumos are visibly quite a bit narrower. (Even an old Terumo size 16 thin-walked needle that I had saved was much narrower.). They slide in much more easily and don't leak unless they come out. My cat is happier and I can still get 125 ccs into my cat at a decent speed, taking only a little longer than before. And thinner needles should mean less scabbing and potential scarring. I will not go back to Monoject. And it was a great help to be able to order the exact number of needles I wanted on this site (vs other sites selling packs of 100). I don't know how much longer my cat has, so buying 100 seemed too optimistic. Very happy with these, and will reorder size 19 if I run out. -
My cat prefers these and so do I
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesI'm new just the past few weeks to giving sub-q fluids to a cat. What i have learned from my dear kitty is she wants this as painless and quick as possible. So, we use the 19g x 1 in. I did try the 21g but that seemed to prolong the process and she loses patience. These 19g are less painful then ones provided by vet. I also find them to be physically easy for me to use. It makes assembly to the line and uncapping easy. I'm glad to have these for her. -
easier on my cat than needles provided by the vet
From Broward County FLComments about Terumo NeedlesI use these needles for infusing my cat. He fought terribly using the needles provided by the vet, I felt maybe they were just too large. Found a blog or article online that discussed these needles as being smaller, thinner and with a large bore still able to deliver the fluids at a good rate. My cat appreciates and does not fight now with these needles and I am able to control the infusion rate to a slightly slower rate that he also seems better with. Happy to have learned about these needles and would recommend them to anyone having to infuse a tender kitty! -
Thanks

Goes In Very Smooth
From New York, NYComments about Terumo NeedlesI purchased these needles for subcutaneous fluid administration for my aging cat. I had the same gauge needles from another brand but this one was recommended by CKD cat information site and I'm glad I bought them! It goes in without resistance and my cat doesn't even flinch (it wasn't the case with another brand's). It might not make much difference to professionals who are used to sticking needles to cats and dogs but for a timid care taker of kidney diseased cat, these were heaven sent! -
Great
From ohioComments about Terumo NeedlesWe had to start giving our cat fluids twice a week recently and the needles the vet sold us were 18 gauge 1 inch long, I found it difficult to put the needle in and it was obviously painful for the cat , after doing some research I decided I wanted to try the Terumo 20 gauge 1 inch thin wall needles , apparently for some odd reason they are no longer available , after all my research the general conclusion was that those were the best ones to use so I don't understand why they are no longer available .... but anyhow I decided to try the 19 gauge 1 inch , thin wall needles instead and all I can say is , Wow ! like night and day , they visually look quite a bit thinner then the harpoons my vet sold me and they slide in much , much easier as well and with the thin wall design they deliver the fluids just as quickly as the harpoons the vet gave me .. wonderful product , they made the whole ordeal much easier for me , and my cat ! I would highly recommend them -
Makes my Yorkie's life easier
From Middle Village, NYComments about Terumo NeedlesI have a 13 year old Yorkie that has kidney disease and has to be sub q twice/day. My vet uses the 18 gauge needles and they are very thick to go in my Yorkie's skin. I discovered these Terumo 21 gauge ultra thin wall needle. My Yorkie doesn't like to be sub q, but at least, she doesn't cry when we put the needle near her neck area. My vet said it would take longer to sub q her, but I timed it and it is only a few minutes longer than using the thicker needle and my Yorkie is worth the few extra minutes of my time. I would recommend these needles to anyone that involves using a needle for their treatment. It makes like so much easier and less painful.

I'm looking for a Monoject 250 20 x 3/4 A needle for subq fluids for my cat. I can't seem to find that gauge anywhere. Do you sell those? I got the above-named needle from my vet but cannot seem to find them online anywhere.?
-
Unfortunately we do not sell the Monoject brand of needles at this time. The closest size that we currently carry is manufactured by Terumo, 20 gauge, length 1.5 inches. You may consider speaking with your veterinarian to see which types of needles are the best option for your pet’s needs and the type of medication you are administering. Your veterinarian may be able to provide you with a supply, or recommend an alternative size that is more available for purchase.

Do you offer the Terumo 20g thin wall needles in 1" length? I need this size for administering subcutaneous fluids and find 1.5" is too long.?
-
Currently, Terumo does not manufacture the 20g veterinary needles in 1 inch length. If you feel that you need a shorter length needle, you may discuss this with your veterinarian to determine if another size needle will work for you and your pet.
Verified Answer -
This is the length I need as well as 1/5" is too long. The cat gets subcutaneous fluids every day so there is a lot of scar tissue

So to be sure the thin wall NN2525R terumo needles will screw into a Luer lock syringe? Similar to the way a Luer lock needle is? Or are they for slip tip only? This is what has been throwing me off.?
-
Terumo needles have a slip tip end, and they can be used with both luer lock and slip tip syringes.

Hello, First, I would like to confirm that you have the Terumo 19 gauge 1" thin wall and 21 gauge 1" ultra thin wall needles in stock. Do I first place the order on your site and then have my vet fax the prescription to you or do you require the prescription first? What is your fax number that my vet can use to send the prescription? I live in New York. Is there any prohibition against you shipping the needles once the prescription has been verified? Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Lonnie M.?

Will you be carrying the 20G x 1" needles? That is a good one for subcu fluids. A 1-1/2 " needle is a bit long for subcutaneous fluids, and the 20G is really a desirable gauge to use. Thanks, Cynthia?
-
same question: 1" thin wall (or ultra thin wall) 20 Gauge needles, please.
